  1. Show me where I said he was worth two? I’ll hang up and listen.
  2. Also, BA just released an updated top 10 for the Sox. Here’s my guess where these guys would slot in: Colson Montgomery, SS (#28) Noah Schultz, LHP (#41) Edgar Quero, C (#84) Oscar Colas, OF Bryan Ramos, 3B Christian Mena, RHP Peyton Pallette, RHP Jonathon Cannon, RHP Ky Bush, LHP Jose Rodriguez, SS However, it’s possible that Bush falls out of the top 10 altogether when the draft picks are added. Gonzalez should slot in 4th and Taylor somewhere around 10 to 12.
  3. Very nice return. @Balta1701 - You going to admit you were wrong about Lucas commanding a top 100 prospect?
  4. Very true…imagine an infield defense with him at 2B, Burger at 3B, and Vaughn at 1B.
  5. Just realized that this is the end of the Adam Eaton trade for us. Pretty fitting that Lucas & Reynaldo go out in the same move. Pretty sad the rebuild pretty much kicked off with those guys and nearly seven years later we have very little to show for it.
  6. That “tool” has Burger valued higher than Gasser, who just cracked the end of BA’s latest top 100 list. That would be a trade that could make sense for both sides.
  7. Feels like a Trader Kenny trade to me. For those that said he never sold off pieces, he did pull off a massive heist with that Freddie Garcia for Gavin Floyd & Gio Gonzalez trade.
  8. Going to collect these as moves are made to see how accurate this trade calculator actually is or if there are signs of a trade deadline premium.
  9. His power is lacking this year, but got to love those plate discipline rates for a 20 year old catcher in AA.
  10. We got a top 100 prospect for Giolito. Isn’t that what most of the optimists were expecting?
  11. 2nd and 4th overall prospects for the Angels in the recently updated Baseball America rankings. Quero is the 84th overall prospect per BA.
  12. Exclude Robert & Cease and those other guys combine 1.8 fWAR. You’d have to be absolutely insane to believe they make up a strong enough.
  13. Winning percentage now below .400. Just an absolute disaster of a season and there is only one man to blame. The guy who doesn’t value power, plate discipline, athleticism, speed, or defense but loved himself an expensive reliever.
  14. Which I believe, but how the hell do they think they can compete then?
  15. 20 games under .500 when we were supposed to be talking about parades…free us from this lawyer speaking asshole
  16. Hopefully he’s in timeout until he quietly resigns in October to “take a break from baseball” or some other bullshit they come up with to pretend he wasn’t fired.
  17. The only hope for success is to trade our short-term pieces for long-term assets. That means trading Dylan Cease right now and acquiring multiple pieces that have already been partially developed. The Orioles have numerous top 100 prospects and other interesting pieces. The matchup just makes so much damn sense it should happen. Pretending we can win next year is simply digging ourselves a bigger grave.
  18. He’d get to be the head baseball decision maker with a much bigger salary with a much bigger budget to work with. Perhaps he’s content in Cleveland, but I see our job being attractive if Jerry will the new President of Baseball Ops to build the org how he sees fit and doesn’t force near-term winning of him.
