He was very good to start the season, but was terrible after getting hurt last year. It’s very clear he’s trying to be a more disciplined hitter this year but it’s clear as day it’s not working from an impacting the baseball perspective. At the end of the day, if Robert isn’t hitting for power then he won’t be an above average hitter. Even with his warts, he should be a league average hitter if he can hit 25 HRs, which would be plenty with his defense and base-running.
