I remember for years I could name every SP at every affiliate and the first thing I would do when checking the box scores was look at the pitching. Now half the time I forgot to look at the pitching at all or have no idea who the guys are.

Peralta price looks very reasonable. As posted in the other thread, I think Boston Smith is a better prospect than anyone the Mets got in return.

Aiden Smith has some tools, but has been awful this year. I’d confidently say Boston Smith is a better prospect than all three of these guys.

No idea what you’re arguing here. The definition of “savior” is someone who saves from danger or destruction. Jerry has destroyed the immense potential this franchise has. So yeah, everyone should be amped that we’ll soon have one of the wealthiest owners in baseball. And I don’t care if he makes money off the White Sox as long as he invests in his product and makes it something worthwhile. This is ultimately a business and that outcome would be a welcome outcome for both fans and ownership. What we have today isn’t working.

You seem like a smart guy Lip but your financial acumen is certainly lacking. You can theoretically kick out all the shitty owners and their replacements still can’t spend what the big market clubs do. Not sure how this doesn’t process with you, but the game will be forever broken until a floor & cap is implemented. It’s really that simple.

There is zero value in saying we hope to add another SP right now. He can go out and assess upgrades while saying he’s comfortable with Castillo & Schultz as his #4 & #5. He can’t do the same for catcher because everyone knows we need one.
