Gallo plus trade for a LH 2B like Lowe. I’m ok with Gallo (would prefer Conforto) but we’d need to pair him with a serious 2B upgrade IMO.

I just wish he didn’t talk to the press until he actually made a move. I get it’s part of the job, but he’s got to know when he says this same s%*# every year it’s going to rile up the base.

Did we lose anyone in the minor league portion?

At $100k/pop that might have a sizable portion of our remaining financial flexibility ?

I think you may have to do both potentially.

Yolbert might not even be here come 4:30pm. I think if the Sox felt he could play any prominent role they would have added him to the 40 man roster. And he’s really not a great option for SS defensively, at least not an everyday basis.

Trading Hendriks alone doesn’t, but if moving him can allow us to solve a different hole while also freeing up cash it might. We can not go into next year with Eloy or Sheets expected to play prominent roles in the OF and we could probably use a LH bat for 2B as well. Not the ideal way yo do this, but I don’t see another option and Liam should command real value given the insane prices relievers are going for right now.

How else are you improving the team?

100% agree. I actually believe our core guys will improve a ton under Grifol, but you can’t bank on that alone making us a playoff team next year, especially not after losing our best hitter. Either tap into our prospect cupboard and acquire impact talent or start selling off pieces. Can’t half-ass this s%*# like the Sox love to do under Reinsdorf.

Lol…to be a foodie you have to have a direct source in every organization and with every agent. That way you can make claims on what every GM and player is thinking at all times.

Judge signing will get the OF market moving now. Need Correa, Boegarts, & Swanson to sign as well along with a Murphy trade to really open up the trade market for us. Seems like it’s going to be a minute before we see Hahn do much.
