  1. Because this is baseball and one bad game against Shane Bieber doesn’t mean you will automatically suck the next game?
  2. Definitely didn’t a quality left-handed hitter like Conforto.
  3. And those subs aren’t good. It’s 100% inexcusable to trot out that lineup let alone against a key divisional rival. Stop carrying the water for this organization…you are better than that.
  4. Leury is the guy Tony thinks can hit RHP…god help us all
  5. The lineup in game 2 doesn’t deserve to score more than one run.
  6. I’d love to say what my heart is thinking right now, but I’d be life-timed from Soxtalk three times over. As such, a simple fuck Tony will do for now.
  7. That is the worst lineup I have seen in White Sox history. I can’t believe any semi competent person could construct such a monstrosity. God help us all…
  8. Charlotte not looking to hot tonight…lol
  9. I will at the Knights game tonight…I pray that Romy & Micker are in the lineup.
  10. Colas & Montgomery are near locks to be top 100 guys by season’s end IMO. Ramos doesn’t need to jump them to start cracking top 100 lists. As for Popeye, I had him & Ramos about even coming into the season and based on very early results (SSS) I’d bump Bryan ahead of him. The reality is Ramos has excellent bat speed, plus power potential, and great plate discipline for such a young hitter. And while it may not be a guarantee he can stick at 3B, it doesn’t appear to be a high likelihood problem at the moment. I think when this season comes to a finish, Ramos is going to be a consensus top 100 prospect.
  11. That’s fair, I actually thought his BB rate was higher than it was.
  12. I’m assuming Dalquist will be on the mound today. If so, hopefully he’s better than he was last time out.
  13. Looks like he absolutely rips the ball and Law said he has incredible bat speed.
  14. Late to the party here, but not surprising that a shit lineup is struggling to score runs. Got to love that murderer’s row i 6-7-8 spots being a combined 0 for 8. FML…
  15. He played some there last year because of a should injury, but sounds like he projects much better at 3B.
  16. Burke has met expectations so far and both Kelley & Mena’s first starts were promising. But really need one of Thompson or Dalquist to breakthrough this year.
  17. He would ask to be traded? How often do guys demand trades in MLB let alone ones with less than a year of service time?
  18. I really hope other teams are taking notice of Burger. He’s an easy 2 win guy for me and that has real value. Hell, ZiPS thinks he’d be a ~2.5 win right now if given the playing time. But let’s put that into perspective from a value standpoint. 5 1/2 seasons of 2.5 win production at $8M per win would put his value at $110M. He’ll get paid ~$1.5M for those first 2 1/2 years and let’s say $23.5M for the remaining three. All in that puts his surplus value at like $85M. That being said, he is on the older side for a “young” guy and those 5 1/2 years represent his age 26 to 31 seasons, so let’s factor in some decline and shave off 1.5 wins total from his projection. That still puts his projected surplus value at $73M. Now, a team like the A’s aren’t going to accept that projection without more of a track record. But still, even with a 50% discount for uncertainty you’re not too far off from what Frankie Montas’ remaining 1 1/2 seasons should be worth. Would the A’s want a guy so close to the majors as the bulk of their return though? Hard to say, but they did acquire some near major league ready pieces in their other trades such as Langeliers & Pache. Point is, Burger should be a fairly valuable commodity and each week that he performs at the major league level it only increases his value. Unfortunately, I don’t see a realistic scenario in which both him and Moncada can co-exist and cover 3B & 2B. That doesn’t mean Burger can’t be a valuable role player who fills in at 3B, 1B, & DH, but we already have a ton of guys who can do that. I think he provides more value to the org as a trade chip to get us starting pitching help. We just got hope the rest of the league sees the mix of potential & floor that ZiPS does.
  19. This may be a dumb question, but what does that mean exactly?
