Cease is ranked in the 69th percentile for xwOBA. The only question with him is he can he take the next leap to legit TOR starter or will he remain an excellent mid rotation guy.

Any chance of a mid season extension? If so, Hahn needs to get on the phone with Lynn’s agent ASAP and offer up something like 2/$50M for the 2022 & 2023 seasons. I will be distraught if he’s not anchoring our playoff rotation for the next couple of years.

What are all these injury issues you are referring to with Kopech? Other than TJS and a flukey hamstring injury, what else makes you think he is injury prone?

Kopech isn’t a top prospect, he’s a major league pitcher who has been one of the most effective arms in baseball this year. He has legit best pitcher in baseball upside and we have an owner who won’t pay for high end starting pitching. This idea to trade him for a one year fix for the offensive is just hands down dumb. I can’t even believe this is a real suggestion.
