White Sox Winner! 1st Game of the Infamous Trap Series!
Chicago White Sox replied to ron883's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Cease is ranked in the 69th percentile for xwOBA. The only question with him is he can he take the next leap to legit TOR starter or will he remain an excellent mid rotation guy. -
Extensions You’d Like to See

Any chance of a mid season extension? If so, Hahn needs to get on the phone with Lynn’s agent ASAP and offer up something like 2/$50M for the 2022 & 2023 seasons. I will be distraught if he’s not anchoring our playoff rotation for the next couple of years. -
Beware of the upcoming Tigers "trap series"...

Means nothing and we should slaughter the little orange kitties. -
That’s my point, it’s really RF or bust. Meanwhile, we could lose Lynn & Rodon after this year and Giolito after the 2023 season. Kopech literally might slide to the the top of the rotation as soon as next year. I can’t believe anyone who actually watched him pitch this year would even consider trading him. This is the legit ace we’ve been dreaming about since the Sale trade and it’s finally starting to become reality.

Choosing to sit out during a pandemic doesn’t make him injury prone. And you think one random hamstring injury will somehow become recurring? Seems like you’ve taken the most pessimistic view on him and just run with it for no logical reason.

What are all these injury issues you are referring to with Kopech? Other than TJS and a flukey hamstring injury, what else makes you think he is injury prone?

Kopech isn’t a top prospect, he’s a major league pitcher who has been one of the most effective arms in baseball this year. He has legit best pitcher in baseball upside and we have an owner who won’t pay for high end starting pitching. This idea to trade him for a one year fix for the offensive is just hands down dumb. I can’t even believe this is a real suggestion.

You want to trade Kopech for a bat? What position exactly? And who is in our rotation after this season?

This is absolute insanity

20/20 hindsight? Everyone was ripping Tony last night for pitch hitting with Leury and allowing Hamilton to bat with the tying run at the plate as it was happening. People are ripping the process and not the results, so none of this is about hind-sight. Meanwhile, @tray still cares more about getting revenge for the flashy Latin player with the gold chains making his hero look bad rather than winning actual baseball games. Imagine placing a manager’s reputation above all else that you’re totally incapable of witnessing all the shitty decisions they’re making. I hope you have a good back brace tray, because you’re going to need one with all that water carrying.
