Badler: Sox expected to sign Yoelki Cespedes
Chicago White Sox replied to soxfan49's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I just saw this on Twitter, but we’re potentially getting Cespedes cheaper than Yogurt Sanchez. That’s pretty fucking nuts when you think about the difference in hype and talent. -

Obviously not directed at me, but I’d have him ranked 5th right between Madrigal & Kelley. Andrew Vaughn Micheal Kopech Garrett Crochet Nick Madrigal Yoelki Cespedes Jared Kelley Jonathan Stiever Matthew Thompson Andre Dalquist Zack Burdi -

Pretty disgusting guidance by the Chairman but ultimately not that surprising, especially when you consider the Bulls’ track record of selling 2nd round picks. -

@Y2Jimmy0 - Any sense if this is true? Seems far fetched Colas would wait another year to sign with the Sox, but then again maybe there are no teams left willing to pay what he’s looking for? -

I don’t see the need to give up a ton of assets for Castillo now that we have Lynn.

Tony LaRussa to plead guilty to lesser charge

Unfortunately we’re probably stuck with him for the next three years. -

What a strange parallel, but at least it’s an improvement from the serial child molester comparison you made previously. -

Yeah, it kind of sucks for the PR department that they have to try to justify this hiring in the wake of this shit when we all know Jerry is the only one who wants Tony here. -

Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but he did say this at the teleconference: -
A ton or you may as well just sign Bauer as Joey is owed $95M over the next four seasons.

Lol...so basically he gets 20 hours of community service for his second DUI. What a fucking joke. -
Dodgers sign Bauer (3/102, opt-outs, 40-45-17)

Why do you feel compelled to post such garbage? -
?...lol at the idea of me threatening you. This is an anonymous message board and you’re the admin, what in the world could I do? For the love of god go get help because these can’t be real statements. They’re literally getting crazier and crazier by the post.

Since 1990 who is the Sox 2nd best player?

Also, I think the correct answer is: -

I loved me some Ray Durham growing up. -

July 2nd Latest from Futuresox & our James
Chicago White Sox replied to bmags's topic in FutureSox Board
Honestly, I’m more worried that Jerry views either of these guys as unnecessary additions at this time and allocates the $2M towards major league needs. I’m sure that’s just me being pessimistic, but until a signing is announced or at least leaked like Vera I will be irrationally nervous. In terms of upside, don’t both guys have fairly high ceilings? My understanding is Cespedes is a legit five tool talent who can play CF and has recently flashed semi-intriguing power potential. And while Colas may have a questionable hit tool, it seems like the arm, speed, & power are all plus, especially now that he’s back in elite shape. Do you feel those takes are off? Honestly, if we signed either guy I think they’d instantly be top 100 prospects, sliding in between Madrigal and Kelley in organizational rankings (I have our top three as Vaughn, Kopech, & Crochet). -

Appreciate the additional context there. I’m just glad to hear that at one point there was a certain degree of confidence in landing one of the two. At this point that’s all we can ask for, but not landing either of them would certainly be a huge blow given all the advantages we have at the moment in terms of remaining pool dollars, organizational desirability, and a wide open spot in RF for the foreseeable future. Hopefully I’m just being pessimistic, but it’s easy to assume the worst when it comes to LatAm signings with a Jerry Reinsdorf led organization. -
Wow, looks like I was totally wrong. Glad to see there is reason for hope. Would love one more move before year end.

Chicago White Sox replied to Dominikk85's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Lol...all good brother. Just figured I’d point that out., especially since Sheets has supposedly been playing some OF and could theoretically factor in more ways than one. -
This is one of the most egotistical & delusional posts I have read in some time. I can only laugh that someone wrote these words and actually believes them. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but not everything is about you. I don’t want the La Russa commentary to go away, I just don’t want it in every single thread. Tony should continue to be held accountable for his shitty actions, but the board should also be free an admin getting to derail every thread with his non stop La Russa jabs. I know for a fact I’m not alone in feeling that way and all I’m asking is for us you to keep your TLR commentary in related threads. I don’t know why that’s such a hard ask, especially when the site owner specifically asked for as much. And lol at me being upset at your “protest”. Me saying that you were being single-minded in your efforts, putting your own moral compass above all other considerations, doesn’t mean I was angry about it. I even acknowledged your heart was in the right place, I simply didn’t agree with your approach which could of had consequences for innocent parties. Not everything is black & white and that was my argument. All that being said, not sure why I’m rehashing this since you actually believe your “protest” was somehow about saving lives...as if La Russa would magically stop driving drunk if not managing the Sox. You are clearly a smart guy, but you’ve completely lost your mind with this La Russa stuff.

I never said the conversation should go away, just saying not every single thread should turn into a La Russa b****fest which is a direct request from the site owner. And the difference between all your examples and this particular case is it’s never been a mod / admin who has been guilty of such behavior. Who is policing you when you blatantly skirt the rules? Look, you can do whatever you want, but I greatly enjoy conversing on this board and I’m going to call out posters if they are bringing it down. And I don’t care if they are an admin or someone who has just recently signed up, no single person is bigger than the board and you ignoring feedback about your recent posting suggests that you feel otherwise.

Why don’t you ask the owner of the site or is he also below you?
