  1. If you’re talking about the picture quality, that’s unfortunately the result of an upload size limit on SoxTalk and me having to manually reduce. The actual screen-cap looks great and so does the print obviously. EDIT: I see you said “charge” and not “change”...lol.. Either way, it was probably good to address that shitty picture quality.
  2. Probably nothing but figured worth posting:
  3. They are legit trying to half ass “go for it” by sacrificing defense for offense. Let’s just hope any damage Pace does is minimal long-term.
  4. Click on one of the prints and then there should be a “Add to Cart” option at the bottom (it’s possible some aren’t showing this option if sold out). For example, here’s an incredibly low res pic of the Eloy “Thanks Cubs” print that shows where to click.
  5. Cease’s problem is undesired cut on his fastball, which he’s been working on fixing all offseason. I haven’t seen him pitch yet this spring, but I thought reports were promising from his first start. Does anyone know how the action on his fastball has looked today?
  6. Agreed, zero reason to panic just yet with Cease given it’s only his second start of spring.
  7. While I’m equally as optimistic, I do think his OBP will take a bit of a hit batting 4th, but that we see better power numbers.
  8. I think a Vaughn extension gets announced next week, so I doubt this happens. Will be interesting to see to see if Collins has played himself into the 26th man role. In all honesty, I wish they’d just send Lucroy down to AAA and give Zack the backup catchers job. He deserves a shot as long as there is an insurance option in place.
  9. What in the fuck is the plan here? I mean, a 1/$12M offer is totally laughable if he really just signed a 4/$72M deal, so not sure how Pace ever thought Golladay would actually accept that. Either way, Biggs seemed to imply Pace was trying to surround Dalton with some actual weapons. While we should no doubt draft a WR in this deep class, we definitely need another veteran option if we are actually attempting a Hail Mary and hoping to win next year. Who else is still available that is even worth a damn at this point? Would they really sign a 30+ year old AB or TY Hilton type and hope that outweighs the losses on defense? Man this shit is a mess.
  10. For those of you into White Sox memorabilia or art, there is a great website called Painted by Tom that offers a ton of cool custom made prints at pretty reasonable prices. I’ve got a wall at my house that currently houses four of these prints and I absolutely love them. Below is a link to both the website and Tom’s Twitter account. Also, here is a pic of a recently released Luis Robert print to give you a sense of what I’m talking about. https://www.paintedbytom.com/mlbart https://mobile.twitter.com/tom_paints?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author
  11. Please summarize if you happen to listen.
  12. I have no problem feeling bad for the guy, but I’m going to have a hard time feeling sick to my stomach for any dude who made 3 quarters of a million dollars in three years and whose career isn’t necessarily over. The guys who we should feel really bad for are the minor leaguers who are unlikely to ever make it to the majors and literally paid under minimum wage.
  13. He meant in game #3 in the playoffs. Riding Cordero’s right arm as hard as he did during the regular season was 100% on Ricky & Coop.
  14. You’re sick to your stomach over a guy who earned $717k in three years?
  15. He literally appeared in over half our games last year.
  16. Obviously SSS, but Detwiler was starting to be exposed before he was cut (declining K rate, with increasing BB & hard hit rates). This is where is scouting comes into play and I’m fairly confident our scouts didn’t feel Detwiler could replicate his flashes of success going forward.
  17. That came out of nowhere. It’s a hit to the depth department, but probably the best area to take a hit. Also, one less 40 man roster spot to open up.
  18. Oh I fully agree...doesn’t make any sense in the context of a broader offseason plan.
  19. Sounds like Pace is trying to convince Golladay to a take 1/$12M deal and pair him with A-Rob for the upcoming season. While in isolation that would be awesome, I’m still not sure why Pace thinks improving the offense while decimating the defense is going materially change our outlook next year.
  20. Ryan Pace won’t need a resume to get his next job, just flash this bad boy and teams will come scrambling:
  21. I don’t see Jamie Newman slipping past the 3rd
  22. The problem is if he has the green-light to tear this thing down then the odds are he will get to see it through. And giving Pace a second chance could be disastrous for the franchise. I’d rather see him try some half-assed “go for it” plan that ultimately gets him fired in all honesty.
  23. I’m starting to be terrified this might be accurate and not because it’s the wrong plan, but it means the wrong people will be trying to execute it. https://twitter.com/Johnathan_Wood1/status/1372733080587354117?s=20
