  1. It’s that or trade Abreu / Vaughn and I’d rather have all three in the lineup until Jose’s contract is up.
  2. It’s that or Garcia / Engel in LF and no Vaughn in the lineup.
  3. He just needs to play a safe LF. Literally stay away from walls & fences and don’t dive. He should be able to survive two years doing that, but it requires our management telling him to do that and Eloy buying into it.
  4. Yup, after seeing that Bernstein tweet, I can’t wait to have Leury & Engel/Hamilton in the OF corners for long stretches this year!
  5. He shouldn’t be trying to steal homers unless it’s the playoffs, let alone in a meaningless spring training game. I get his desire to get better, but it’s really dumb & unfortunate that he felt compelled to do this and it’s going to cost the team as a result.
  6. I’m not commenting on this until I see the extent of the injury, but we’re in big trouble if we lose Eloy for a long period of time. He’s arguably our best hitter heading into 2021 and we have shit depth behind him in the OF.
  7. Would be great if Collins develop into a part-time catcher...I still have hope there but am a little concerned he won’t get an opportunity with us due to Lucroy.
  8. Way too early 2023 White Sox lineup: Anderson, SS Moncada, 3B# Vaughn, 1B Jimenez, DH Grandal, C# Robert, CF Colas, LF* Cespedes, RF Madrigal, 2B Need to draft a prep catcher to eventually replace Grandal and we are set!
  9. Super excited about adding Colas, but it does suck that he’s losing out on a ton of development time due to MLB changing the signing period dates. The good news is he won’t turn 23 until this September, so he’s still young enough to overcome that, although the Sox will still need to be somewhat aggressive with him.
  10. https://francysromero.medium.com/oscar-colas-cuban-prospect-to-sign-with-chicago-white-sox-for-2-7-m-d23950f43d62 Sounds like there was a mini bidding war for him with the Angels offering ~$2.0M and the Mets offering ~$2.5M.
  11. You must be late to the party, but he’s gotten himself into amazing shape. And I don’t think there’s any chance in hell we use Colas as a pitcher, but that plus arm will help even if in LF.
  12. Yup...an all Cuban OF will also be pretty sweet.
  13. Wasn’t it Nagy who wanted Foles?
  14. I could be wrong, but that was Portillo’s I believe, but your point still holds true.
  15. Yup, nothing screams excitement like Billy Hamilton in RF ?
  16. Also claims they are working on a Giolito extension.
  17. Al’s Beef saying the Vaughn extension is done and then whining about respect as usual:
  18. Was this from a radio interview? Not seeing anything from him on Twitter.
  19. Dumb question, but Lopez earn his major league salary while at Charlotte?
  20. Hear anything more on this Pal? Surprised nothing has been announced yet with the amount of smoke out there.
  21. Let’s be honest...we just need to survive until July. If we suffer an injury or underperformance from the back-end guys, we will likely have to trade for another starter. That being said, hopefully we can avoid major injuries and Kopech can replace the weakest link come June. If not, my money is on Lambert being the guy most likely to hold a spot down. Lopez sitting at 91 MPH makes him a non option at the moment and that really hurts us since he historically has had a rubber arm that can at least give you some innings.
