These are direct quotes from you: How did I mischaracterize your post? You made it very clear that Moncada couldn’t be “the answer” (and neither could Timmy) and legit asked if he could bring back a 55 FV prospect. You jumped to conclusions way too early then and I feel you are doing the same here with Eloy. The kid is 22 years old in his first major league season...let’s all give him some time before we officially panic and declare him a DH.

The Bill Walton Game: Sox vs what's your name again
Chicago White Sox replied to Heads22's topic in 2019 Season in Review
Sure, but a one game publicity stunt involving a delusional, self-absorbed, burned-out hippy doesn’t have anything to do with that. -
Abreu “as valuable as anything” to Sox: Merkin
Chicago White Sox replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The biggest concern with Abreu IMO is he’s suddenly not very good against RHP. That might be a SSS issue / bad luck or the start of a downward trend, but if real and brought back you know Renteria will still bat him third or fourth against every RHP. And that would suck, especially if they continue to roll him out at 1B most days. I truly believe Jose can still provide some value over next couple years, but I really worry we won’t use him effectively. -
Remember when you wanted to trade Moncada for a 55 FV prospect but weren’t sure that was doable. Maybe you should give Eloy some more time before jumping ship. He was arguably a top three offensive prospect coming into this season, that will still work even if he has to move to DH at some point.

The Bill Walton Game: Sox vs what's your name again
Chicago White Sox replied to Heads22's topic in 2019 Season in Review
It’s really one of the worst takes I’ve seen in Soxtalk history and dude should change his handle to “Cheese&Whine” because that’s all he does. -
The Bill Walton Game: Sox vs what's your name again
Chicago White Sox replied to Heads22's topic in 2019 Season in Review
Let me just say I’m not a fan of going over 110 pitches with Giolito in a meaningless game in a meaningless season. If he does, Ricky should be fired on the spot. Unfortunately Hahn doesn’t actually watch any of our games so that won’t be a possibility. -

Exactly, I don’t know why this is so tough to understand. -

Demanding a 22 year old be moved to DH in his major league season is though. -

This is a gamethread, no room for patience, only hot takes. -

I just put on the game and holy fuck is this unbearable. Like I totally get the PR stunt factor, but why not pull this shit during a Nova or Detwiler start instead? Giolito is must watch TV as is... -
Luis Robert and Nick Madrigal
Chicago White Sox replied to KnightsOnMintSt's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I bet he gets close to 3/$60M with no draft compensation attached now. -
The rumors were (partially) true: Collins to AAA
Chicago White Sox replied to Jose Abreu's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Exactly. IMO, August 1st was the drop dead date and even that was debatable if it made sense. And while Hahn was most definitely spinning in that recent podcast, both Madrigal & Robert have played a ton more baseball this year than ever have and fatigue is probably going to sink in soon. Not sure this is the optimal time to expose them to major league pitching. -

100% agree on Collins. The Sox need to see if he can fill a legit role next year or if he’s going to more of a depth piece. -
Don Cooper’s Eventual Replacement
Chicago White Sox replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I believe he’s very analytical and heavy into Trackman data. We definitely need a more modern thinking pitching coach when Cooper calls it quits IMO. -

I wouldn’t break up the Jerschele & Zaleski pairing. -
Don Cooper’s Eventual Replacement
Chicago White Sox replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Based on what I’ve heard from someone that knows him in Nashville. Obviously that’s speculation on their behalf, but I just can’t see Cooper enduring a full season grind at the age of 67. He already seems to be slowing down IMO. -

He’s said this? If so, do you have a link to the quote? -
Don Cooper’s Eventual Replacement

I’m fairly optimistic he’ll retire in the next three or four years, although to your point this is baseball and you just never know. -

Are you suggesting he may not retiree soon? -
And Collins at 1B. At least they’re finding ways to get all the interesting guys in the lineup.

I completely agree. Will be interesting and somewhat telling how they handle 1B & DH this offseason.

Don Cooper’s Eventual Replacement
Chicago White Sox replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
While I think he’s a bit of a long-shot, I really hope Zaleski eventually gets the job. He seems like the one guy in the organization leveraging Trackman data and actually proactively working with guys to make changes to their arsenal. Lambert & Stiever are just two examples of guys who have made major strides under him. I think him landing the job would be a sign of a slowly modernizing front office. That being said, I worry that Curt Hasler will just be handed the job. -
So Don Cooper is 63 years old and has to be getting close to the end of the road. Therefore, I thought it would be interesting to speculate who will be his eventual replacement. I’ve created two polls, one with who you think gets the job and second with who you want to get the job. Vote away!

I now just assume if there are multiple posts in the minor league gamethread before 11am that Bailey drew a walk.
