I don’t think it’s a troll job at all. He simply rolled the dice based on some secondhand source and was wrong. The worst part is if Machado does sign with the Yankees, he’ll claim to have broken the story despite being completely full of shit at the time.

I really hope there’s more Machado heat today and something that suggests this process is coming to an end within the next week. That Rosenthal article didn’t really make me optimistic on that front.

How does deleting tweets working in twitter? Do they go away forever or just from your feed? I was able to find the tweet below via a google search but can’t find it in Dan Clark’s feed: Also, maybe I’m thinking of someone else, but I swear Dan Clark mentioned something about a Jan 7th press of conference shortly after his breaking “Machado to Yankees” tweet. And that I can’t find that in his feed either. Just wondering if this guy has started deleted some of the more sketchy stuff he’s posted.

I really don’t think the Dodgers want to pay $35M+ a year for Harper, let alone for 10 years. Friedman doesn’t seem like the type to overpay for intangibles that he’s unlikely to benefit from plus it’s very obvious they’d prefer a RH hitter. If Harper is looking for top dollar, and we have every reason to believe that, it won’t be with the Dodgers IMO.

I want Machado for us obviously first & foremost, but watching these Yankees squirm a bit is definitely a nice tertiary benefit!
