  1. lol yeah. Fry can't pitch every inning.
  2. He had good numbers at Charlotte, at least in the first half. I wanted him brought up too, but I suppose that this is why he wasn't.
  3. I mean i've watched a bunch of Gio's starts this year, he's been awful for most of it and lately he hasn't. I dont think one extra ER is going to shatter his confidence if getting destroyed repeatedly in May and June didn't.
  4. Well on the plus side, no one is going to look at Giolito's numbers and say wow, this kid had a great year except for that run allowed at the end of August.
  5. I can't say I like the way Burr is being handled, but Viera has not exactly dazzled when given his chance.

Eloy bomb Laz Rivera granny good stuff!
  8. Lamarre is 30 and not good. Enjoy this game, but don't get fooled.
  9. I think we were something like 8-23 at NYS prior to this series...
  10. CC's knee are just sawdust and cardboard at this point, I really admire the guy, no idea how much longer he has.
  11. This, but I also think they trade Andujar for a SP. They need a lot of help in that area.
  12. Hm, so maybe Minaya isn't a closer.
  13. Which part, Stanton or Andujar? For the latter, I guess because he isn't the stereotypical "slugging 3B that can't handle the position". He has plenty of athleticism and a good enough arm, he just doesn't seem to have the hands or twitch reflexes for the position. But he isn't slow or unathletic, so why not LF? Maybe not on the Yankees, but somewhere. For the former, uh, I guess, look at the guy. He's huge and has past injury problems. It's only a matter of time, really.
  14. Eh, Stanton will probably not be an effective OF for much longer. They also might turn Andujar into a SP this offseason. Putting him at 1B seems like such a waste.
  15. Cmon you knew Shields couldn't NOT give up a HR.
  16. Seems athletic enough to play LF.
  17. Yeah if you told me one team this series was going to play solid defense and make plenty of quality contact the other team was DEFINITELY not, I probably would not have picked this configuration.
  18. Yankees are...not having a good series, so far.
  19. I know the Yankees lineup is depleted but i'm expecting at least 3 HRA by Shields tonight
  20. Yeah, it worked, and there was a minimal chance it wouldn't work, but it's not a good strategy. Next year, when its Hamilton and Burdi, I hope he isn't so whimsical with his calls.
  21. Minaya is no great shakes but he isn't pitching poorly, so this just comes off as Ricky getting cute.
