I always really liked Marcum when he was on the Jays and wanted the Sox to get him. Then his shoulder fell apart. He is good when he's healthy, but he hasn't been fully healthy since 2012, so make of that what you will.

Seems like every move this offseason has backfired so far. I don't blame Hahn for trying but it is really shocking how bad things are right now.

Semien can flat out hit, and once the A's stop playing him out of position he'll be a perennial 2WAR player. That, for this, should hurt plenty.

Or else they trade him for a bunch of junk, which is all they'll get for a big salary pitcher with a 5 ERA. This trade is making me very sad tonight.

Would you take the risk of paying this man 15+ million next year, knowing that this is what he is capable of? I don't think the Sox will.

The Crew have been playing better lately, partly due to positive regression and probably partly due to new manager boost. The Sox, meanwhile, have been lousy all year, especially on the road.

Anderson has 2 walks in 120 plate appearances. He is not even close to ready.

Well, this is the worst possible scenario for the Samardzija trade. Semien is great and Shark is a disaster. No comp pick at the end of the season.
