  1. Navarro is such a lateral move, I really wouldn't get it. Unless they're acquiring a blocked catcher, this has the potential to be a really bad move.
  2. Miller would be a nice get, but the Braves, by all reports, are asking for a lot in return. Joc Pederson, AJ Pollack, Luis Severino and Marcell Ozuna are names they've tossed out.
  3. I think they'll add, but not premium FA. Asdrubal Cabrera, De Aza or Aoki for the OF, Trevor Cahill or Latos, etc. Although that isn't very intriguing, so maybe i'm way off.
  4. Dodgers aren't gonna move him when he's being investigated by the dang league.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 27, 2015 -> 08:19 PM) Watch him go over there and hit .300 with 30+ homers. I would guess he will clean up over there. He might try to come back to the MLB after a few seasons if he does.
  6. They'd probably ask for Montas and Johnson from the Sox. I would imagine that is why. Or else the Sox don't think too highly of guys who compare MiLB stints to jail.
  7. This is a bad team, but its better than what the Sox have now, and it doesn't blow up the payroll. The Dodgers trade is probably the most fair one - Laroche for Howard straight up would be fine without Flowers.
  8. I want Teoscar but I doubt he gets to us in the draft.
  9. Less disconcerted by the comments than by the fact this sure looks like KW throwing someone under the bus again.
  10. Rockies may hook up with Sox yet: http://blogs.denverpost.com/rockies/2015/1...-pitcher/21156/ Mentions specifically prospects, but I could see them parting with young MLB talent as well.
  11. Given what Dombrowski just gave up for a reliever, I would say the price tag for Sale just went up.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 09:02 PM) I don't think people realize just how good Bogaerts and Betts were last year. Bogaerts should be the best SS in baseball for the next decade. I think Correa is better but yeah, ol' Xander is crazy good.
  13. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) Which guys are you referring to? Bogaerts and Betts.
  14. Fans overvalue their own players as a function of their fandom. That said, Boston would be dumb to trade either of those guys for Sale, let alone both.
  15. QUOTE (LDF @ Nov 12, 2015 -> 08:55 PM) i posted this on another site but, i bet Hou is po'ed. They shouldn't have given him a QO. Padres shouldn't have given Kennedy a QO; given this news, I would say he is almost certain to accept. Kendrick might accept too.
  16. Benintendi is like 3 years away, and Swihart plays the position that has a shortage of impact talent. There aren't any good catchers available right now.
  17. You aren't being realistic then. That's a cheap 3-4 starter, a offense-oriented starting catcher, an all-glove SS and the best 3B prospect in the minors, all with at least 5 years of control. That is bonkers value, and the fact that Sale is even worth that shows just how special he is. A fair deal for Q is like, Swihart, Marrero and Owens. Still a haul but not on the same level. Q shouldn't be moved.
  18. A realistic package for Sale is probably like, Eduardo Rodriguez, Swihart, Marrero and Devers. That's a franchise altering haul, but it ain't gonna happen.
  19. Alas, no bat flips. Dan Kim said Twins, but nothing has been confirmed.
  20. Twins trade Plouffe before he gets expensive. Install Sano at 3B.
  21. Bet its the Brewers. Could be Twins. Don't see a fit on other teams.
  22. Or, if we have to lose a pick, lose it for like, Grienke or Hayward and not Howie Kendrick. Please no Howie Kendrick.
  23. I guess that's true, yeah. But assuming we didn't sign another FA with QO, we would keep the 2nd round pick. I'd just as soon not lose any picks, though.
