  1. Here's to AJ and his arm tonight. 2 runners mowed down, huge night. After the first half of the season where he was something like 2-45 (stat-heads, please correct me) gunning two runners, especially in the 8th, was instrumental in the win tonight.
  2. I believe Q is a true competitor that wants to play as hard as he can when he's on the field, and if we tell him he's moving to DH if he gets injured he'll probably hide his injury in an effort to keep competing. This would probably hurt him more in the long run, defeating the purpose of moving him to DH in the first place. No, he should stay in left, move JD to DH. With the discussion regarding CF, if we don't plan on having Pods around for a more than next year I think we should go after someone young and versatile position-wise like Colby Rasmus. This way when D2 comes up and JD leaves we have options for young, talented OFers in that are capable of playing CF and the corners.
  3. What about the Cardinals and their OF? I know a few months back people were murmuring about Rick Ankiel (both positively and negatively) but they Cards do have 4 talented OFers in Ludwick, Ankiel, Rasmus, and Duncan, and La Russa has openly said he's had trouble getting all of them playing time. I know Ankiel isn't having the best season (somewhere down around .215 this year), but overall they are all pretty good options. The Cards be a good option to peruse considering they should be looking for someone else in the infield, maybe Fields might garner some interest.
  4. Long time listener, first time caller... As much as I wanted him to succeed, I will say that seeing Jerry Owens' ship sail was a good start to the season.
