  1. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...nings-for-dash/ Recap posted. Stephens on fire with new pitch and Adolfo heating up down in Kanny.
  2. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...n-dash-victory/ Big night at AZL, Burdi throws smoke, and Robbins rockin' despite no walks. Sorry for the late recap, FutureSox writers love America too.
  3. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 12:14 PM) Fulmer going to AAA by August if he keeps it up? Or do you keep him in AA all season? Guy still has a 4.83 ERA at Birmingham. I would let him continue succeeding for another 4-5 starts before challenging him again. I do believe if he continues pitching this well and the Sox are still in it in late August/September he could be a potential bullpen contributor. That would be a good way to cap his innings at the end of the year and give him a taste of the show.
  4. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 10:21 AM) No Zack Collins yet? They are giving him a break after his long season. He is assigned to the AZL team and will debut with them over the weekend.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 07:01 PM) Some had Curbelo in their top 10's or even 6-7 after the draft (ahead of the Mays and Trey M.'s of the world). Why such a disparity in how he's perceived? 6-15 to me is totally interchangeable. Engel at 6 just feels way too high. I can't imagine even the Reds accepting him as the centerpiece of a potential Jay Bruce deal, or the Rockies for Cargo. Maybe for Beltran...but the Yankees are going to wait until the last possible moment with that bullpen. They're not in the rebuilding business, typically. Curbelo is an overslot high school player and was ranked around #100 on most big boards I saw. I'm sure the Sox had a deal with him pre-draft, its basically like we got a 3rd-4th rounder in the sixth. Lots of room for projection and growth on a toolsy high schooler, so hope springs eternal as they say. For perspective on Engel, he was #22 on the FutureSox mid-season rankings this time last year and vaulted up the rankings due to a strong 2nd half/Arizona Fall League. I think he earn a fringe top 10 ranking on our 2016 list.
  6. QUOTE (kingranch @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 01:53 PM) So even though Burdi was drafted as a relief pitcher, most people still have him top 5? I figured relief would slide him down. Check out the type of contracts closers are getting and the type of haul it takes to acquire them in trades. Burdi is also very close to the majors and has an outside shot at starting. He isn't your average relief prospect.

http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160629 Winston-Salem and Kannapolis already underway. Jordan Stephens is tossing a gem and Kannapolis is being shutout.

While the college hitters #'s in Great Falls should be taken with a grain of salt, damn it is fun to write about.

QUOTE (MDL27 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 08:18 AM) http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...o-back-to-back/ Recap Posted. Great night on the farm as five of six teams in action won their games. The long ball carried the way for many, as Courtney Hawkins, Telvin Nash, and Luis Curbelo were just a few who went deep last night. Jordan Stephens had his best start of the year for Winston-Salem, firing 6.2 innings of scoreless ball. Very encouraging from Curbelo. It's not every day that an 18 year-old SS homers in his 2nd professional game.

http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160623 All the affiliates are back in action and FutureSox's Matt Cassidy is live at the Kannapolis Intimidators game. DSL Sox already won 2-0. The Sox started someone called "Yojensy Arias" and he threw five shutout innings. Though I think he was cheating because he's 22 years old and not a teenager.

http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...all-star-games/ Recap up. Great night for the kids as Adolfo, Zangari, and Nunez go yard. Three hitters who have extremely high ceilings.
  19. Should be using FutureSox rankings IMO. A couple of those guys are non-prospects basically. Been a so-so start to the year for the whole system. Though Adams, Guerrero, Clark, and Lowry are doing very well.
  20. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 21, 2016 -> 09:20 AM) What's the story on this guy? Left handed bat, 20 years old, looks like he raked last year but has fallen off a cliff this season. Anyone have anything on him? No, except that the Marlins affiliates probably have the best collection of mascots in baseball. He played for the Batavia Muckdogs, Jupiter Hammerheads, and the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Love it.
  21. Wish Fernando Tatis Jr was on it

http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...ose-first-half/ Recap posted. Sox pull off an impressive 0-5.
  23. The White Sox went with a lot of high upside, tough signs in the later rounds. Their 26th (Farrar), 34th (Shirley), 35th (Acton), 37th (Kaplan), and 39th (Lavey) all have strong commits to big programs. It makes me wonder if they cut some deals with some of the college players they took earlier so they would have extra cash for the later rounds…
  24. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) Probably nothing, but sure deleted quickly... My best guess is he was amped to face Severino (former Yankees top prospect) tonight and when people reacted he just deleted it.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 05:04 PM) Anderson is indeed in the lineup. It's not the first time he has tweeted something vague that people run with that turned out to be absolutely nothing.
