I too was wondering about this. Has the strategy/approach truly changed? Why? Simply because they feel the system is top heavy? Has the power dynamic on these decisions changed recently? Have they realized the current approach hasn't been paying dividends? Maybe they are just going to George Costanza it this year and do the exact opposite of their best instincts/judgement and luck into a bunch of high ceiling prep talent working out.

Seconded. Abrams + another mid to late first round prep talent at 45 is much more interesting to me than the recent draft trends. *Opens BA Top 500 to research.*

Thanks for the intel. It's appreciated. Hearing anything on second round targets? Or possibly pushing a tougher sign to that pick to couple with an Abrams savings? I'd love to see two high ceiling prep players with picks 1 and 2.

I'm curious about potential round 2 targets, and what kind (if any) savings we might see if with an Abrams or even a Vaughn selection.

In case some of y'all are like me and can be oblivious to impending dates/times, the draft is on Monday. Hype. Also, I believe we might be getting a Fangraphs mock today.

I know this has come up before, but what if it goes Vaughn, Rutschman? Do they go Witt over Abrams? I could also see a scenario where they are anti-prep still and Bleday is the pick. (Who I like, but would hate if Witt is still on the board.)

Comes with this caveat on 1.1 though.
