In July, Sox had deal in place to send A. Garcia to Houston for Martes
I'm glad the trade didn't go down.

Luis Robert tearing it up in the AFL
Yes, he is. If he gets off to a good start in 2019, and if Engel struggles at the plate, Robert should be in Chicago.

Michael Brantley to Astros 2/32M
I don't get why Cleveland did not give Brantley a QO. Of course, I said the same thing when Rockies did not offer it to LeMehieu.

Your Offseason Plan
Speaking of cornrows, the best I have ever seen were Bo Derek's.

Your Offseason Plan
Jimmy, would he move to Third Base?
-
The Moncada / Madrigal Situation
If he is still have SO issues (and hitting sub .240), Sox won't need him in the outfield or at third base.

Your Offseason Plan
Don't forget his bat throwing incidents.

Kevan Smith claimed off Waivers by Angels
Plus he improved a lot during the season. Angels probably helped themselves. We'll see.

White Sox on verge of slipping into another first-round rut
- 2018 MiLB White Sox news and notes
Northsider, I never complained about the top 3 guys in that trade, certainly not when the deal was made. You're the one who called Diaz a throw in. Sox Ace call him a bust. It's one thing to get a throw in as part of a minor trade, but not for CFS. You never answered my question. At the time of the trade, was Diaz portrayed by Hahn as a throw in, or a valid prospect? That's all I asked. Again, "Throw in" was your term, not mine.- 2018 MiLB White Sox news and notes
Diaz certainly wasn't a big deal to Boston. Sox gave them Sale, Boston gives up three players plus Diaz. I wish my memory were better. Less than two years ago, that trade was made, and I can't remember if Diaz was considered just a throw-in at the time, or did Hahn actually portray him to be a valid prospect, which he wasn't. Chris Freaking Sale should have returned more. Boston was loaded with valid prospects, and Hahn should not have settled for a throw-in.- Guys we should target on short term deals
I knew Earl Grey. Nice guy.- Guys we should target on short term deals
If a team is offering prospects, maybe so. But Rox are probably looking more toward a guy who can step in right away and hit from right side. Avi might do very well in that park.- Guys we should target on short term deals
I'm not so sure. Bud Black gave up on Gray, didn't put him on playoff roster. Rox always looking for right handed outfielder. Gray had some of the worst starts in the league.- Sonny Gray
Zach would improve our hitting more than Davidson improves our pitching.- Top White Sox Prospects by Position: First Basemen
Same here. If they don't draft Vaughn, they'll likely trade for another LaRoach-like first baseman after Abreu leaves. Geez.- Sox have "flexibility" to add "long term pieces"
- White Sox will pick 3rd in 2019
I see your point. Rodon had all the appearances of being the best pitcher in that draft, and all of a sudden he is available at #3. Rodon's agent was Scott Boros. I always wondered if Sox had a pre-draft dialogue with either Boros or Rodon. After the draft, Boros was very difficult, holding up the signing as long as possible, getting way over slot for Rodon, and then trying as hard as possible to get more, even if it would have put Sox in penalty position. So, I don't second guess drafting Rodon per se, but I do second guess drafting a client of Scott Boros with that high of a pick. I hope they don't do it again.- Attendance
What was the final attendance figure for 2018?- White Sox will pick 3rd in 2019
Is La Roche coming out of retirement? Is that what you want?- 2019 MLB draft thread
Right. Who cares if he is right handed first baseman. We have had Abreu, Konerko, and Big Frank for 2-3 decades. I hope we get this guy.- Who stays?...who goes??
