Like a lot of people my age, I have accumulated quite a few friends who are die hard Red Sox fans, partly because they never seem to die. First Base is extremely tough to play really well, and easy to play so so. Abreu is a cut above so so, but barely. Still, he hustles, does his best, and he hits. Even Todd Helton screwed up a couple times a year.

One thing that worries me as these kids progress through the system is that Sox will have some very tough 40 man roster decisions to make in a year or three, and we will lose some of these players to Rule V.
