  1. Is Michael A. Taylor related to Stephen A. Smith?
  2. It was negotiated in the Collective Bargaining process. Pimpiness works both ways.
  3. Right now, Sosa is probably the best all-around SS on the team. Rojas is #2. Sosa is probably the best at second base, too. So, they will probably bench Sosa to start season.
  4. Gavin Sheets was criticized a lot here, but he is better than Gallo.
  5. Both Schultz and Hagen Smith pitched 2 shutout innings today.
  6. Negotiating ploy by ESPN? The annual fee of $2.6 B to NBA blows my mind.
  7. Always a fun read. I don't understand a couple of picks (Bush, Eder), but it will be fun to watch these guys in the minors this year. Thanks.
  8. Good info, both James and Don. Very well-written piece. Too bad they gave away Fujardo. Would he have been ranked in Top 30?
  9. Go ahead and explain this one to me. And while you're at it, let me know if the previous President ever mumbled any lies to the media.
  10. Does anyone watch these games on TV?
  11. Of course, they are. Where have they improved? Catcher, Center? Starting pitching lost two or three best pitchers. All gone.
  12. Do you mean that he wasn't throwing as hard as you expected?
  13. Sox gave up a decent pitching prospect for him, plus took over his contract so that Indians would have room for Giminez. Sox are so accommodating.
  14. Dick, you're a lot more optimistic than I am about what they can get for those three next July.
  15. The obvious players are Amaya Baldwin Colson Meidroth Rojas Sosa. Did I miss one? I don't know if any of them are any better than Nicky Lopez last year. My hope is that Colson takes over in Spring Training. We'll see.
  16. When Madrigal first came up to Sox, he had trouble with the throw to first, ala Steve Sax. I know it was psychological, but still, I had my doubts right then.
