  1. This weekend I was wandering thru a list of games that I had no interest in, and I came across Alex Call in a game for the Nats. I looked him up, and he can actually hit. If anyone is wondering, we got Alonso for him 7 years ago.

    Bummer
  3. Face it, Montgomery and Ramos, both of whom had long standing high prospect status, blew it this month. Both could have been starting in Chicago if they could hit a little bit. They're not even prospects any more.

    I saw that movie.
  5. Just to be clear, this new tax law does not go into effect until 2027.
  6. 4 out of 9 have no business in MLB.
  7. Leasure's best fast ball.
  8. What happened to 2024 draft pick Casey Sauke?
  9. If Ramos could hit anything, he would be up.
  10. Runner should have been tagged out at second leading off the Boston 5th.
  11. He is just a mean, spiteful, old man. Last summer I said on here that it would be worse in 2025. Now I'm saying it will be worse again in 2026.
  12. I was looking for the recent Top 30 list of prospects, and I can't find it. Will someone please send me the link? Thanks.
  13. Ya. .250 BA, 15-20 jacks....75 or so RBI. It'll be worse this year, tho.
  14. I was aware of the no hitter before the first hitter. What a great pitcher. And we had him. Should have paid him, or at least tried.
  15. I wonder how many pitches Booser threw in the dirt that inning.
  16. I can't remember how much Sox paid him for his first contract as an international Free Agent. Was it something like $20 Million plus a big penalty for overpayment? I believe the two most expensive Internation Free Agents were Robert and Moncada.
  17. Seriously? Seriously???
  18. Players union would say NO.
  19. Robert should have scored from second on Maton's single to right. Coach probably confused.
  20. You're talking Bulls; we were talking Lakers/Cleveland tainted trade, which led to Cleveland owner getting shitcanned by the Commish, which won't happen with Jerry, which is what another poster recommended.
  21. .....and the Press under-reported it.
  22. 30 or so wins is not enough for the Commish to take those steps. Charley Finley went a step further than just losing. He sold some of his best players (Joe Rudi was one) to Boston for cash. That did it. The Commish at least reversed those trades. There is another parallel in the NBA. Years ago, Cleveland was owned by Ted Sepian, who, for some reason was beholden to Jerry Buss, and Sepian gave away Number 1 Draft picks for some slug named Dan Ford. One of those turned into either James Worthy or Magic Johnson. Can't remember. The Commish stepped in and got rid of Sepian, but the trades stood.
  23. If Amaya makes that double play.......
