  1. It's not very invasive. Delicate, yes. Back in 2007 or so, there was a real good shortstop who played for Braves and Dodgers. He had the herniated disc surgery and was back playing pretty quickly. Todd Helton had same condition at same time and chose not to have surgery, and it took him a long time to recover, with hours of therapy, I'm sure. I also had the same surgery, and I can still operate my remote today.
  2. I'm sure that's why neither KC nor NY were interested in keeping him.
  3. Back in the 90's, Lou Piniella said something to the effect that a good Manager can win a handful of games a year, but a bad Manager can lose a dozen or more.
  4. It doesn't take much to encourage me, but the obvious flaws in our ranking so high is that Montgomery, now in his 4th season, is flirting with the Mendoza Line and Schultz only throws 60-65 pitches per week.
  5. So, Sox are the antithesis of Padres. They have a dozen shortstops to pick from, we have none.
  6. A young player who caught my attention is Xavier Edwards, who plays alongside Burger for Marlins A young shortstop who hits. No wonder they let Tim Anderson go.
  7. Is there a starting MLB Shortstop in there?
  8. Left Field at Fenway was perfect for him, both offensively and defensively. It's not surprising that his best years were there.
  9. The two Principals who engineered the Burger/Eder trade are both out of baseball.
  10. Well, you can than Kenny "My Boy" Williams for that trade.
  11. Like everyone else, Lopez got off to a terrible start offensively. He's playing much better in second half. What will Getz do with him in off season?
  12. He's made 3 horrible plays in CF. this year. Just sayin.
  13. Maybe that's why coach sent Sheets last inning.
  14. Were those things addictive?

    What did Law say?
  16. Not sure what the record is that he broke. Just a bunch of hits.
  17. 17th round draft pick.
  18. Super rookie. Comes up to D-Backs and gets 3 hits in first game. Not done since 1901.
  19. I'm still pissed off at this play. Grady can't sweep this under his rug. Yes, Cub bench was laughing out loud after the play.
  20. No. The Vargus trade is a real head scratcher. He was a DFA candidate with all the injured Dodgers coming back. So, we give up Fedde, Pham and Kopech for him and 2 A-Ballers.
