GT 5/15: Yankees @ SOX,1:10 pm CT, NBCSC
Brilliant defense of La Russa. They're 28th out of 30 in runs scored with a lineup that most people looked at as a preseason strength. His whole schtick was getting the team ready for games and he sucks at it. Well, that and bullpen management, and he's atrocious at that.

TLR should have his plaque revoked for this atrocious encore that he forced upon us.

That at bat was abysmal.

5/15 Games
Unless every single scouting report on Perez is wrong and he's actually awful defensively, I'm getting hard pressed to see a reason to keep McGuire around over him. Especially because Perez has reverse splits.

Old Sock Drawer, ex Sox player discussion
Whenever another team develops a former Sock, I imagine the drafting department just glaring at the development staff. Semien is the most egregious, but Gonzalez can get added to the pile.

Marvel Entertainment Thread
You could get through the movie without WandaVision, but you'd have to just roll with a lot of plot from Wanda's side that gets explained with quick dialogue intended for viewers who didn't see WandaVision. For context, before covid, MoM was supposed to air the week immediately following WandaVision. My advice is to try and binge it, read a plot summary, or watch the Marvel Legends episode on Disney Plus about Scarlet Witch (which will have WandaVision spoilers).

The Jarred Kelenic Appreciation Thread
Man, we all wanted that Nightengale "Sox looking at players like Ray and Semien" tweet to come true. The server that hosts SoxTalk would have gained sentience and jumped off a cliff with how those two are performing.

TLR 2022 Thread
Tony La Russa is the guy who saves all of the health potions in a video game because he'll definitely need them later. Then you finish the game with a completely full inventory after dying to the final boss 50 times.

We could have done this pitching change when the bases were loaded with the game tied and Judge at the plate. Instead we waited for them to take the lead and reload the bases with Stanton at the plate.

Hey, if the lady wants to wear it, all the power to her. That being said, this string of comments requires Charles Barkley and his strange vendetta against the women of San Antonio.

Robinson Cano
I was definitely trying to convey sarcasm there. Cano sucks and if we're trying any new solution at 2B, it should be Yolbert.

2021-22 NBA Thread
Same. The most I'll pay attention until then is mocking ESPN for proposing this: Note that this scenario is impossible due to the Stepien Rule, or they're genuinely proposing the Bulls throwing in a first round pick.

Charlie Tilson's only career home run was used in the lost game thread, so may I present another relic from the dark times, presented in glorious 360p: Good luck vibes:
