  1. Also, dudes with FutureSox profiles still on the board: James Wood Adrian Del Castillo Peyton Stovall Izaach Pacheco Jud Fabian Jaden Hill West Kath
  2. This is my dream scenario.

I think with fully healthy Eloy and Robert, which is a big if, plus a trade for a 2B and reliever, firmly puts the Sox right there.
  4. Could this be our lefty power bat?
  5. And MLB at 25.
  6. Didn't even realize Madden was on the board. I like either one.
  7. Damn. Was hoping he'd fall to the Sox.
  8. Took off on a flight right as the draft started, a little bummed I'd miss the pick announced This is hysterically slow for a draft with no trades
  9. Remember when that Pittsburgh radio station pitched Frazier for Vaughn? Vaughn for Frazier, Cease+ for Pederson. What a world sports radio lives in.
  10. Yup. Right now, the stars / core aren't draft picks (outside of Anderson), but a lot of the depth has been – if we had all this in 2016 (and the the free agents had been performing) the Sale / Q / Eaton era might have gone differently.

So that he's a right handed high schooler, big, with a last name starting with K? Cause I'm drawing a blank on the otherwise.
  12. Then why in God's name did you think Grady Sizemore would find his power again for years and years after his age 27 season when he had 0 home runs, but Moncada can't in his age 26 season with 5 home runs so far with a dead ball? Is it because Moncada focuses on getting on base and Sizemore only cared about swinging for the fences? Is it because Moncada gets on base at an elite clip and put up a better OPS (.915) than Sizemore ever did with less home runs? His OPS this season, .788, is the exact same as Sizemore's last good year. None of this is account for his injuries that can sap power, which is a legitimate concern, or the fact that they just banned sticky stuff which could see power numbers come back.
  13. Doesn't have Hoglund in the first, for anyone that would be a fan of that pick.
  14. So do you want lefty bats or lefty power bats?
  15. This would be so risky for both sides due to the possible backlash from Cubs fans over Baez success with the Sox and the prospect cost it would take to acquire him because the Sox would pay a premium due to his stardom + crosstown upcharge. In a vacuum I love this because it's a "let's fucking do this" type trade, but at the same time, I fear seeing someone like Crochet having a long, long career on the North Side.
  16. The Sox. Selling a hurt Moncada that is still putting up elite defensive and OBP with prospects is bad. I know Jack is worried about power, but that's it. The other is older and signed through 2023. One dude is younger and signed through 2025. Plus prospects. For a difference in .3 fWAR (I know that's not the end-all be-all, but it's the easiest way to quantify it).
  17. Sorry, it's a layup.
  18. It says that you're the inaugural founder of the Jose Abreu fan club.
  19. You have one of my favorites:
  20. 200% inspired Eloy. League = Not ready.
  21. Why won't James Shields let us live in peace???
  22. Caulfield, what the absolute fuck are you rambling on about right now?
  23. He has risen
