And it's worth mentioning that the 1899 Cleveland Spiders were effectively a AAA team. The Spiders owners also owned the St. Louis Perfectos (formerly the Browns). They then transferred all of the Spiders good players to St. Louis. The league then banned owners from owning more than 1 team. But it really hammers home: The 2024 White Sox will likely be the worst team in MLB history that is actually attempting to be a major league team. I don't know if I've ever been happier with a college football game, even Mizzou's bowl win last year.
