QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 09:30 AM) Under no circumstances will my kids be playing football. They can play flag amongst friends but that is the extent. I'm obviously not in a position to say the same as I'm not a parent, but I don't see any scenario where my future kids play football.
-
Parents are also going to keep their kids from playing.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 07:50 AM) Good job. Might want to vary the wardrobe Q When you own as many colored shirts and suits as I do, gotta rock em all.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 01:29 PM) Is Houston #1? If they are, I think I read somewhere, the player has to give the OK for the team that didn't sign them the year before to draft them again. D-Backs

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 12:18 PM) Good stuff. Grantland has become a must-read site for sports analysis. (as long as you don't click on the Simmons articles) When Simmons actually takes his time with articles, they're good reads. -
Breakouts? Quintana, Semien and Sxtlk fav MSaunders

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 15, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) Exactly. How much better can he get than that 5.3 ? I'd be real happy with that for the next 6 years. If Q "breaks out" this year, he's looking at competing with Sale for the Cy Young. By WAR, Sale (5.4) and Quintana (5.3) were the 8th and 9th best pitchers last year. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 15, 2015 -> 02:25 PM) Brooks went ahead and handed it to them in the last minute of the game Rose and Jimmy can't come back fast enough.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 14, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) In 3 full seasons with Mike Trout, the Angels have won exactly zero playoff games The White Sox had a Top 5 pitcher and hitter last year. They didn't make the playoffs.

Thank god we got Abreu a year early.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 08:16 PM) Choke job by the Bulls to the D League All Stars Without 4 of their top 6. and lol Brooks with that 3.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 9, 2015 -> 11:28 AM) I get so annoyed with pseudo scouts on bears boards all claiming that Ray doesn't have good tape. Ray might not have good size measurables, but nobody can tell me he didn't have good tape. He had 4-5 moves he used on a regular basis, and when Golden was out teams wouldn't even run to his side. I kept seeing him in the Top 5 right after the season ended.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2015 -> 07:46 AM) The #1 free agent on the market got $60 million guaranteed. The White Sox gave $46 million to a relief pitcher. Tell your kids to stick with baseball. I always say if I was a professional athlete it would go like: MLB, NBA then NFL. MLB has the most security with guaranteed deals and the least possible long time damage. NBA is flashiest but you really have to be a star to make bank and the lifestyle can lead to losing a lot of money. NFL is just terrible health and guaranteed money. I really don't want to see Forte go for sentimental reasons. I also want Shane Ray if he falls to Bears for obvious Mizzou homer reasons, also they should sign Sam. Go Mizzou. Apparently Ray is slipping on draft boards. Wouldn't mind trading back.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 8, 2015 -> 09:48 PM) I hope Sox are either in first place or within 3-4 games when Rodon joins the rotation. On paper, if he's as good as advertised, Sale, Rodon, Q will be a great starting three to go with Shark and Danks. Lotta lefties, though. Lefthanded hitters on opposing teams are not going to enjoy four-game series vs. the Sox. Lefty hitters in the Central division are not gonna enjoy all those games against the Sox lefties. Righties will love the chance tho. No righty will love facing Sale.

QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 8, 2015 -> 01:19 PM) yeah i know and i have to keep reminding myself that it is too early to think of injury of any kind toward Matuella. i should wait until he plays again or until something is announce by other source. but, i would really think extremely hard on selecting him. now if it is a Tommy John injury, that is 1 thing, but if it is related this anything else, well i just don't know. he does have the goods to be a really good pitcher. For me it comes down to if Herm and his staff are OK with it as well as Coop.

If he falls to us, I want him regardless

WTF is with these whistles.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 4, 2015 -> 02:30 PM) Herm Schneider double duty! I don't understand how both teams are owned by Reinsdorf and one has the best staff, the other the worst staff. Like Christ, have Herm come do a seminar or something.

Also, Thibs coaching last night was fantastic. Hopefully he keeps using E'Twaun, hopefully more than Kirk, after Rose returns. He'll need to learn to ride the hot hands in the front court. Let Noah create some opportunities in the high post more. Keep using Snell. Hell, Doug didn't look terrible on D, just offense. Thibs' problems arise when he has too much depth, which is extremely strange.
-
Niko's step back three on Nene was awesome. And of course NOW they seem like a Thibs team once their back is against the wall.

It's nice seeing Micah having 3 SB.
