The officiating is getting more Cavs by the moment. That foul on Noah was ultimate phantom call.

Why does *any* member of the White Sox front office deserve their job?
QUOTE (LDF @ May 4, 2015 -> 09:25 AM) i disagree, the org was going in the right direction, then it stop. it was like dec that it stop. there were a couple of players that could have been of huge benefit. but instead, the sox got penny and then resign beckham and they of course they spent a whole of money on drabeck. (sp). the FO became short sighted assuming all will preform the same without a viable backup player to plug in. The hell? Beckham has been more than fine as a backup IF this season and they spent peanuts on Drabek.

Jared Mitchell released, Tyler Colvin signed
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 4, 2015 -> 07:38 AM) Beckham is still a top five player in WAR from that draft class. I think people hate Beckham mostly because we saw that 2009 and saw what he could have been. But yea, Tim Beckham is one of the bigger busts in recent draft history; Gordon Beckham has at least been a Major League player for six years. Looked it up, he is tied with Hosmer at a career 6.6 WAR. Now, I am sure in a few years, Beckham will drop on that list, but still he did not "bust" like most draft picks, simply did not live up to his potential. He still have carved out a decent ML career. Right. Jeter, Stone and others whet our appetites too much by declaring that he would be a multi-time MVP. Harold Reynolds said he'd be the 2B of the Decade when it was all said and done. Tim Beckham's a bust and the Sox couldn't have picked him in the first place.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2015 -> 03:57 AM) http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/pro...p?P=Tim-Beckham To add insult to injury, we probably picked the wrong Beckham as well... Tim Beckham went first overall and Gordon Beckham's 2009 is better than anything Tim Beckham has done during his career.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 3, 2015 -> 01:06 PM) Will always wonder what his career would have been like without that leg injury. I remember he was on fire that spring.

Why should Robin Ventura have a MLB manager job
Bring back the Ozzeroo. But seriously, Ozzie might do a better job...

How bad is Beal's injury? After he ragged on Rose the past few years, it'd be interesting to see how he handles being hurt.

5/3 Games
I gotta imagine Conor or Bonifacio is in danger if Sanchez keeps going, not to count Leury and Davidson.

QUOTE (shipps @ May 1, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) You sure you didn't stay long enough? You should have waited...longer. Considering Kevin Feige himself said there was none Also, when one of my friends saw it a person in their theater yelled "DON'T f*** WITH ME" when "The Avengers Will Return" came on instead of a post-credits. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 1, 2015 -> 10:21 PM) Yeah, really liked A2. I saw some complaints they tried to pack too much in, but I didn't find that to be the case. Really enjoyed it, and also didn't feel like it was just a movie to set up a sequal(obviously it was, but didn't feel forced.) QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 2, 2015 -> 08:57 AM) I absolutely felt like Age of Ultron tried to pack too much in. There were so many plot lines and stories they tried to weave together. It's not a bad movie. I actually really liked it. THere was just too much going on to think "damn, this is better than the first." It felt forced at times. I think the extended 3.5 hour cut will clear a lot of that up and it was noticeable that a lot was cut. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 2, 2015 -> 09:23 AM) I felt Ultron lacked as a villain. I expected him to come across as more evil, and he just didn't. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 2, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) , and they spent almost NO time on his character development. i wanted more of that.

Who can the Sox acquire?
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2015 -> 12:29 AM) My point is the Twins finish ahead of us and are .500. If the Sox were .500 after years of this s***, people would come. I will tell you this. As smart as Hahn is, my being a GM would have the Sox in much better shape cause I'd have acquired Billy Butler and Torii Hunter who are better than LaRoche/Melky.

The Bulls need to bombard the post with Pau and Jimmy. Derrick will beat Kyrie 1-on-1.

2015-2016 NFL Thread
QUOTE (bmags @ May 1, 2015 -> 04:09 PM) DGB only really had 2 dominant games, but even in his great soph year, I'm not sure a bipartial watcher would say he was the best receiver on his team (not talking about draft prospects). Loved DGB when he was here at Mizzou, well until his legal trouble (the trouble not related to weed). As an impartial NFL GM, I'd take him every time for my team. He'll be a great wideout if he isn't a headcase.

Carlos Quentin has retired
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 1, 2015 -> 01:53 PM) Still can't get mad at him for that. It was an unfortunate consequence of being such a competitor. I just feel sad when I see TCQ and what injuries did to him.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 1, 2015 -> 05:09 AM) Is the after credits scene anything special? I'm hoping for a SPidey appearance but doubt it since it isnt casted...publicly anyway. There isn't one. There's a mid-credits scene, but no post credits.
