  1. QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 11, 2015 -> 09:34 AM) f*** all of you guys, go back to where you came from. A lesson in green = sarcasm I had intended on posting this exact post, except "I hate all of you" instead of "f*** all of you guys" I hate you Tex
  2. I believe Nieto will start the season as starting catcher in AA.
  3. I went tonight and took away two things. 1) Pau Gasol's skill + height will allow him to age very, very well. 2) Snell wasn't scared. He went 1-7 but with little hesitation and his D was pretty good.
  4. I don't know if Fences would apply, but it's a great play.
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 10, 2015 -> 11:50 AM) Matt Eddy ‏@MattEddyBA #WhiteSox sign RH power hitters 3B Andy LaRoche and 1B Chris Jacobs to minors deals, re-sign OF Michael Taylor http://bit.ly/1I8uhBI Let us all rejoice at the return of Lord Taylor! But actually, you'd have to imagine he's in contention for 4th OF.
  6. Marshall's advocation for mental health is commendable. I laughed when he was fined by the NFL for wearing neon green socks in honor of mental health awareness.
  7. Please start Taj and bring Niko-Noah off the bench together. Pau and Jo don't mesh while Niko and Noah could be an amazing duo.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 9, 2015 -> 05:21 PM) http://bit.ly/1BWOG9n Anonymous getting in on the action now It'll be interesting watching ISIS and Al-Qaeda end up being crippled by not the CIA, FBI, SIS, etc...but by Anonymous.
  9. Man, I love this place.
  10. I will get Wite to eat a shoe if the Cubs win the WS.
  11. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 9, 2015 -> 12:57 AM) You guys are crazy if you wouldn't play for the cubs. I know we all hate them, but you'd still be living in Chicago surrounded by family and friends who can attend whenever they want even if it's on the wrong side of town. Unless you're from out of town. That would make sense. If I was a player and drafted by the Cubs, I'd bolt as soon as possible.
  12. Play for: 1) White Sox 2) Dodgers 3) Giants Never play for: 1) Cubs 2) Yankees 3) Detroit
  13. Sometimes I will address my parents as "kids"
  14. It helps the Cavs, but not much. It's fun watching that trainwreck. So many of their issues would be solved if Love and Irving just played defense.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 01:07 PM) Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 3m3 minutes ago Randy Johnson gets in at 97.1 percent. Pedro Martinez at 91.1 percent. John Smoltz at 82.9 percent and Craig Biggio at 82.7 percent. Mike Piazza was at 69.9 percent. He'll be in next year. Jeff Bagwell at 55.7 percent and Tim Raines at 55 percent. Bagwell and Raines need more love.
  16. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:49 PM) I'll never rip on the bulls front office again. Ever, the majority of this team was drafted by them. You cant blame them for free agents spurning them. But everyone should complain about Tony Snell and Marquis Teague. Those are more indicative of their drafting ability than Butler, Gibson, Mirotic, Noah and Rose.
  17. Something like Micah, Hawkins and Beck is likely what the Sox highest offer would be. My highest offer would be Micah, Beck, Webb and Trayce. It's just something where it doesn't make sense for the Sox to unload any of Rodon, Anderson, Montas, Danish or Adams.
  18. QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 07:06 AM) who's the better manager, Ozzie or Robin? thanks, douglas Ozzie from '04-'06 easily trumps Robin's first 3 years. Ozzie after that was not good, aside from 2008.
  19. QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 07:21 AM) need some help in understanding some rule in the nba. i thought when a player gets assigned / cut and plays in the "D" league, he becomes a FA. so when Noah Vonleh, 9 pick last yr 1rd, went to the D league, is he a FA? totally unrelated, the signing of the vet for vet extension contracts, should the Bull continue to extend Rose contract further? i know the Bulls should offer Joakim Noah. It's kind of like the minor leagues in a way. If a player is sent down from an NBA franchise, their current contract is still in place. It's just that the D-League is way less important than the MiLB, so most of their rosters are filled with free agents and maybe one or two draft picks at best.
  20. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 07:27 AM) or when his kids were sounding off about the franchise and KW all while their dad was still employed. Good times. Or when they leaked clubhouse issues.
  21. It's going to be retired with #14. They left two spots on the wall of retired numbers.
