  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 06:12 PM) Tim Hardaway in Celeb/Legend game. Thought NBA washed their hands of him after his ugly homophobic rant. Reuniting Run-TMC is more important.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 02:52 PM) Huh? I can get Wade, I guess. Barry Bonds. ESPN tells them to love a person, they ask how much.
  3. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) Am I the only one that has no recollection of his first Sox game? The best I can do is remember the first game I went to without adults. I was 3. Frank Thomas hit a bomb. I thought it went out of the entire stadium. We were sitting lower deck, between first and home. I know nothing else. Only Frank Thomas was the s***.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) No, the point is actually simple. Rex Grossman was the best QB on earth for the first 6 weeks in 2006. Then reality hit. Jeremy Lin has looked like one of the best PGs on earth for most of the last three weeks. Reality has already started for him. Jeremy Lin went from a nice story to embarrassing spectacle. He's got his own all-star weekend press conference later tonight. Are you serious? LeBron is having one of the most spectacular seasons the game has ever seen, and Lin gets his very own press conference? Unacceptable. I cannot wait until this annoying ass mosquito is exposed. How hard is this to understand. Grossman was injured like a motherf***er and didn't really play in the pros a whole lot until 2006. Then he was fantastic for the first six weeks of 2006. Jeremy Lin was also an unknown in the pros. Starts games, looks fantastic. Both have been brought back to Earth. Badger, you're making an argument no one is making. No one said anything about college careers.
  5. He isn't guilty, but he sure isn't innocent. I can't stand the Brewers fans on my floor that love to champion the following: LeBron, Wade, Lin, Tebow, and Braun. God I l'd love to see one of their idols fall, especially Braun because while I liked him in the past, if he's innocent he's not resorting to procedural error to cover his ass.
  6. QUOTE (YASNY @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) I'm betting that by the time thwe Cell is replaceed, you'll have nostaglic feelings for it like I do Comiskey and you'll hate see it go. I know I would. But come on, it's not that old and the recent renovations have done a lot
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 01:45 PM) I almost want to throw the "I'd ban myself" cliche post for Morel hitting 30 homers in a season. I just can't see it happening in the game today. If he does, I'll let Joe nickname him and roll with it, no questions asked.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 11:08 AM) I think he's plenty quick, and that's been proven the last few weeks. His ball handling is absolutely something he can work on. Good players work on it all of their careers. Just like a jump shot, which players routinely become better at as they get older. IMO his ceiling is a poor man's Nash. Someone who's not crazy quick, not crazy athletic, but someone who has a high bball IQ especially with the pick and roll. If you will recall, that type of PG thrives in a Dantoni system. Homeless man's Nash*
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 01:01 PM) Brent Morel is the next next Jose Bautista! If Morel becomes even close to a 30 HR guy and Beckham returns to his projections, we'd have a very, very nice middle of the order punch with Beckham, Viciedo, Morel.
  10. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 04:22 AM) Contact customer service, I bet they would do something about that. I sent in a "Report a Problem" but suffice to say this pisses me off. I paused the downloads, but I doubt that does anything. Just have to wait back from Customer Service and if I don't by tomorrow, I'll call in.
  11. I officially despise Apple now. I wanted to download some music I had purchased on my other laptop, so my computer said I had "165 awaiting download," I figured them to be the stuff I have already purchased on iTunes, so I hit "Download now". It then proceeded to start downloading The Complete Led Zeppelin, that I had pre-ordered, but never payed for, 4 years ago as I decided against wanting the item. It charged $100 f***ing dollars automatically. No requesting confirmation or anything. I'm really, really mad.
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 03:06 AM) Am I the only one that watched the Heat/Knicks game and thought "The Bulls could beat both these teams"??? Nope.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 03:06 AM) Am I the only one that watched the Heat/Knicks game and thought "The Bulls could beat both these teams"??? Nope.
  14. Steve9347, he is unstoppabull. Also badass. Have a good one my friend
  15. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 12:01 AM) I'm getting sick of the negativity.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 06:12 PM) I don't know where to start with this... Altering shots? Ibaka? Jordan? Gasol? Bynum? Hibbert? Chandler? Camby? I mean, come on. I love Asik as much as anyone else, but......come on. Omer with Noah's offensive games is better than Bynum? Hibbert? The Gasols? Ok. I used some J4L-esque hyperbole. But Asik is the second best defensive center in the league. Maybe DeAndre is better, but that's it. Ibaka isn't a center, Bynum is good, Hibbert isn't that great defensively, Marc's calling card isn't D, Chandler is good but I take Asik over him, and Camby's heyday is behind him. And I meant all of Noah's offensive game, passing included. I keep forgetting Bynum is actually healthy this year and beasting. Asik would be even with M. Gasol (Pau is a PF) and yes, better than Hibbert.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 05:39 PM) I guess i'm equating "alter shots" with "blocks." Asik's problem is that he has no hands. He should average 6-8 pts a game on put backs alone, but he keeps bringing the damn ball to the floor and getting stripped. Ah. By "alter shots" I mean when someones going into the lane and go towards Asik, they have to take a much worse shot by twisting themselves, getting around him, or fade aways then if another defender was there because Asik would block the shot otherwise. With Gibson they take that risk, because there's a chance he doesn't block it, but then he also does get some very good blocks. And yes. Asik has literally no hands and he always brings the f***ing ball down which is also annoying. Omer with an offensive game like say, Noahs, is the definitive 2nd best center in the league.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 02:39 PM) Asik is easy to leave on the offensive side. They'd double Rose off of Asik, and the Bulls couldn't do anything about it. My point being is when Joakim's out, it's very hard for the Heat to score. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 05:29 PM) I like me some Turkish Hammer, but I think Gibson is better than him on the defensive end. It's really too bad that Gibson has lost all confidence in his jump shot. Unless they're dunking the ball, he and Asik are both pretty worthless on the offensive end (except for rebounding). I disagree. Gibson is better with blocks, but Asik just keeps teams out of the paint.
  19. Wait, f***. When does The Show come out? I think I'll wait until OS' minor league roster comes out.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 02:35 PM) He only missed 1, 1.5 games though. And with how close those last four games were until the last few minutes...that's big.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) After seeing what the Bulls did to the trap last night, the only way the Heat us it is with Noah not on the floor. If Boozer can stay healthy, that is like adding a PF because he had no lift last year and Bosh ate his lunch. Well, then Asik is in and when he went down in last years series, that was big. Asik can alter shots better than any center not named Dwight Howard. He kept Wade and LeBron out of the paint at times and the Asik-Deng trap was beautiful on LeBron. Either Noah is in and they can't trap us or Asik is in and we can trap them.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) LeBron should be able to shut down Rose. What the Bulls have to do is make an adjustment and have whoever Chalmers is guarding beat them. That is where Hamilton comes in. Yeah. With Rip and Deng healthy, it becomes a lot harder to just tell BronBron "go stop Rose" when Rip and Deng can shoot over Chalmers. Then a trap? Well... Noah can make plays with his passes to one of Rip, Booz, or Deng who would be open. All them can hit the mid-range shot. Deng can get to the hoop. Noah can get putbacks. Sometimes Boozer is a low-post guy. That's not even counting having CJ or Korver in for the 3.
  23. Bulls will beat the Heat definitively if Noah and Boozer continue to click and Rip gets healthy. Like, we gonna see LeBron go... "Man, no one said it was gon' be easy. We had to fight off the Knicks, 76ers, and the Bulls. That's a tough road to overcome for any team and we just happened to get tired. Y'all just making us seem like we're worse, but it ain't easy down here and you all will have to go on with your lives." Then the next week... HEADLINE: LeBron back to Cavs in 2013? Disgruntled star reportedly wants to team with rising star Irving to win a ring.
