  1. No it sucks because it brings politics into a non political forum.
  2. Baseball Stupidity 101 - recommend former players with no managerial experience.
  3. I never understood the need to draft a 1st basemen. This organization seems to only produce guys that have defensive weaknesses so let's make them a 1B/DH . The world doesn't end if they keep Eloy in RF as long as there is a defense replacement in later innings.
  4. I grew up as a Cub fan towards the end of the 60's. I could watch the last inning of the game after school. My dad was a Yankees fan and we started watching Sox baseball at night. That's when my allegiance changed. I still love those red pinstripe unis.
  5. If they fired Ricky and a new manager has the option of choosing his staff I think Coop stays,
  6. I guess the good part is there's a lot of youth on this team that got exposed to post season baseball. This will be a plus in the future.
  7. Fans don't seem to have patience when it comes to MLB. It's not like the NFL or NBA where a drafted player can make an immediate impact.
  8. It seems like the hard throwing pitcher has a shorter career. Kids in the minors get shocked when they face major league hitters who can hit your 98 heater. We may never see a 300 game winner again.
  9. Discuss. I think he survives on the success of more than a decade ago. I'm not sure he is effective anymore. Sometimes a change to make a change may be necessary. If it were like the NFL or NBA he would not have lasted this long.
  10. Not with this organization,
  11. Hitters do and it's usually out of the park. I don't think he's figured it yet that guys in the majors can turn on a 98mph fastball.
  12. Never trade with Oakland either.
  13. Cease hasn't even pitched long term. I wonder how some of these younger guys would react to different coaching.
  14. He needs to develop in the minors.
  15. This is not even a .500 team in a full season. When you sign Gio G. to be one of your starters it's a wait till next year approach. What they did in 60 games took everyone by surprise.
  16. They choked and so did the Twins. The Sox are that Cinderella team in March Madness where the reality finally sets in.
  17. Nothing was really out there. The team overachieved in a 60 game season.
  18. It could be worse, You could be the dude on the mound facing Abreu with bases loaded,
  19. Well we get to see 3 extra games of White Sox baseball.
  20. LOL the radio feed on MLB is like an inning or 2 than gameday. I thought it was a 5-4 game.
  21. Rumor has it these are minor league umps. Other umps sat out because of Covid.
  22. The Sox rarely fire managers so I guess the decision is when the contract is up. That podcast was interesting. The issue is he often repeats his mistakes. This organization rarely puts pressure on leadership and I think that eventually trickles down to players. If it were like the NFL he would lose his job.
  23. Amazed this team won so many games with the lack of starting pitching.
