  1. Maybe he's not good. Just more false hype we've been fed.
  2. Modern baseball seems to have more than its share of brittle players. I wonder what players in the 70's and 80's.
  3. Maybe he isn't good. He's been in the organization a long time. None of this shut down stuff either. The team shut down, make em work for their pay.
  4. Talent evaluation and development are poor. Might as well keep those bad players because the trades bring the same result or worse. You can believe one day the Sox wheel of fortune is gonna pay.
  5. Anyone but the Sox. Well no Royals or A's either but that is a given. I check up on former players. Abreu HR yesterday. I like to watch Burger. While watching Abreu the Yanks top prospect hit a HR on his 1st big league pitch. I watch the Cubs too. Then the most entertaining is Dodgers vs Braves. No lead is safe in those games. I should watch the Rangers too.
  6. No one has improved. The better pitchers have spent less time under him. The problem in professional sports is coaches and managers rarely fire their staff. Rare for a GM to do that either. If an outsider came in that would be the first thing they do. Pedro is here to stay but he needs a different staff. If he were to pluck them from the Royals they'd still suck. As someone on the radio said the Sox need to advertise the best coach needed.
  7. Florida is not a good state for major league baseball, only spring training.
  8. As much as I disliked RR he may have been a good fit for the time and possibly got better as a manager. Tony not so. Odd for a HOF manager to walk a player with 1-2 count. You'd think some of the things he did was from dimentia. Maybe the Yermin incident did more harm than thought. I don;t ever recall a manger ever doing that.
  9. Maybe it's because he has the least amount of influence under Katz.
  10. False hopes that a AAA buy is going to bring lightning in a bottle. He needed more time after being hurt before being called up.
  11. They'll be needing a team in Oakland. Ut will be like they never left.
  12. He's been quite and not the center of attention. He's been the best pitcher so far. I'm surprised he hasn't been picked up unless there are hidden words among GMs.
  13. The reality is good scouts are not let go. You even have to play free agency in that. His comment was another dumpster dive. Plus your organization has to be attractive to scouts. Basically I interpret it as getting more failed orgznization people from the Royals.
  14. Nice that they are not throwing in the towel. I was hoping the Reds would chance getting a pitcher.
  15. It's sad when you heard less bullshit in political debates.
  16. I'm done. I'll try not to let this organization ruin my love for the game. Anyone but the White Sox. I've actually watched some of the Cubs. Something I would have never done 40 years ago. I don't live in IL. Shopping for a new team. The owner has a serious disconnect to the fans. I'd rather they move out of state and not be the White Sox. Then an expansion team could claim the name.
  17. For as fewer starts he was the best starter.
  18. This team ends up giving up only 4 runs to the O's consider it a small victory.
  19. rAY cHARELS AND sTEVIE Wonder would be the only ones I could think of that would agree. Kopech can show some rare brilliance but Grifol, no,
  20. If he did how many of them would regress? There's definitely something not right.
  21. LOL! I'm speaking of the loser mentallity fanbase brought to you by Jerry Reinsdorf. Was it really an different when Veeck owned the team? I wonder of Dodger fans have the trade everyone syndrome when the fail to make it to the World Series. The reality is this team will never be competitive because of the one sitting at the top. Trade, trade, trade. It's vague. Getting a haul can be exchanged with the word fleeced with this organization. There is no way out unless change is at the top. Everything else will be meaningless until luck steps in. So far Sox anf luck are extremes. These are some of the reasons why divorcing myself from this team is becoming more of a reality. A large market team organization adopting something not much different than the A's. This is really bad for baseball. Sports are filled with fans of a team more than the sport. I fear being one of them. I live in the area of the Cactus League and spring training facilities. I fear this organization is destroying my love of baseball.
