  1. I bet they disappoint today and win. They are playing an organization similar to them with scouting and development
  2. Reinsdorf has a history of destroying a winning culture.
  3. Extremely fearful. He has displayed the habits of the habitual losing small market organizations. Traded one cost controlled pitcher for nothing. If you are an opposing GM you can think of reason for not giving a mythical haul for Crochet. One is maybe the Sox know something that may not be a successful 2nd season since no real GM is going to give up a cost controlled pitcher. If an organization is not good at identifying and developing talent no trades in the world are going to make them better. Baseball is a trade frenzy sport and results are often ignored that the percentages of them working out are slim. Yet we are so conditioned to that mindset. So often those trades just become more trades. There's this mythical logic of getting rid of a player because the team wont be any good. So when is it established a team will be good? Rely on farm and prospect rankings? Being a successful ML franchise is extremely hard.
  4. #FindANewTeam Don't all of the teams not owned by Reinsdorf try to follow the Rays model? Yet so few actually achieve that. Competitive is a vague word these days. I guess the Reds and Pirates are competitive until the trade deadline and offseason. The habitual losing teams always buys over the hill lightning in a bottle free agents with the intention of trading them. Then they are stuck with them if they are really bad. No team scores on those returns. Sure you can have stud starters but they only work every 5 days. MLB draft picks are not like the other sports and a higher risk. Sometimes it more luck than scouting. You need that stud everyday player. When you consistently failed like the Sox have with their 1st round it sets you back longer than 5 years. I like them some label prospects as lottery picks. They only problem with other teams prospects if they went through a differently philosophy and how long will it be that they unlearn those things. I wonder if Sox fans really have patience where the owner is a small market wannabe. Once again few teams have successful rebuilds and there is also luck that comes with. I don't know if a Sox fans could deal with another 5 years of being bad and it could be longer than that. The bad luck is having injury prone players. I often wonder if retooling is better than rebuilding.
  5. God organizations aren't willing to give up real prospects. The Vargas type are a dime a dozen and Getz proved he can easily be fleeced.
  6. Still lose games if you can't score 3 runs
  7. That's the first thing I though after reading fathom's comment
  8. Still marked safe from watching White Sox baseball. I'm only into the drama that's created. I think fans want different ownership more than anything. JR has a history of destroying a winning culture. If things improve he'll find a way to ruin it. I'm more sad than angry. For many I think it's a relationship beyond repair. He pretty much announced 2025 will suck.
  9. How about the hire the Mets to play for the Sox in 2025? Meanwhile last year their owner came out and blamed himself for the poor season and then there is this owner whose favorite player is some guy called Eckstein and other bullshit.
  10. It's like going into a bar wanting a shot of the $500 tequila while there bottles left of the $150 tequila and they try to convince you there's no difference in taste. I think that how your better organizations are with top shelf prospects. They know them better than any rankings or reports.
  11. Only in baseball.........
  12. and we know how well that works
  13. And that have the manager that Kenny and Hahn originally hired
  14. It's been local since last year and started with the fake Reinsdorf press conference.
  15. I don't see it changing. Reinsdorf already sent the message they are going to be worse next year.
  16. Look at what the Nationals did with their all star ss.
  17. One team ruins that That's what you are suppose to do.
  18. Even wrong on that
  19. The best part was the fame thread title. It made me laugh.

  21. Not playing Moncada is like they only plan. Other than that there is no plan.
  22. If they are a former player we will forget what a great player they were.
  23. Anyone remember Wally Backman? He got hired then fired on his first big league contract.
