2024: AL Central Thread
Then again it is their job to beat those type of teams. The Rockies made it more difficult for the D'Backs and put the Cubs out of it. You play to win every game because sucking in April and May my look even worse Sept. "Plenty of baseball left" is the wrong attitude coming from a manager.

Bleacher Report: White Sox expose MLB's not so secret crisis of bad ownership
I think that is a bigger lie than getting better faster.

This is a recipe for another Getz trade disaster.

I call it trading your better players for #MakeBirminghamBetter.

Stone not sure he will be back in 25, season "wearing on him"
Not if Reinsdorf lives that long

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox
Wow this thread is starting to go down hill. I tend to ignore media that are Grifol apologists. I don't care what he inherited he was bad and not management material. He was highly recommended by Getz to begin with. Sure he was highly recommended but one player in the Royals organization said he was a kiss ass. It was obvious. Funny how he commented about things he saw from the Royals dugout when becoming manager. Did anyone realize he is use to 100 loss organizations. So the problem with the hire to begin with is getting someone from a habitual losing organization.

Levine: Possible frontrunner for manager - LAD 1B Coach Clayton McCullough
Maybe he got bored of the team that wins a 100 games a year and wants to see what it is like to loose 100 games.

Hitters who left Sox this year to other MLB teams
Have to wonder the TA, ELoy, Moncada, the type of injuries they've had that being good at hitting a baseball no longer possible. Then you have to wonder if the approach to hitting, drafting, and development are not consistent in the organization other than consistently bad. Watching the better teams you see a lot more patience at the plate. You can have slow guys like Vaugh and Sheets in your lineup unless they are contently hitting 30 homeruns.

9/24 Sox vs. Halos 6:40PM - A chance to witness history
Not gonna happen in the Getz era, I'm find myself rooting for players no longer on the Sox. They will have another chance at this record next year. This fanbase is exhausted. Even mediocre is not gonna work. Who will be next season's standout for the #MakeBirminghamBetter pool. Then those trades will be traded and the result is nothing or worse. See Vargas

I'm a big fan of Cannon since he isn't one of those break a wall pitchers. Still puzzled by that infield pop up. I guess Cannon called for it. Watched one of the better teams in baseball mess up one between the IF and OF last week.

Padres have a slight chance to win the division I don't think the Tigers roll over if they get a spot.

9/24 Sox vs. Halos 6:40PM - A chance to witness history
There's no organization that can be fleeced by getting rid of him when you are that organization. Then most lose when they try a package deal with more than one team. See Getz 2024.
