  1. I guess they didn't want to mimic the Sox white flag trade.
  2. I think he only did it as a favor to JR. He really wasn't all in. Plus when it's been a long time from living the life of a manager he couldn't adjust back to that lifestyle.
  3. I think any GM will be a puppet for JR.
  4. That seems to be a trend in baseball. How many rehires are there these days. I guess organizations are into new blood.
  5. Mike Ditka figured that out. Plus I think the more successful managers is where a philosophy is the same from the rookie league to the majors. To make matters worse they hire people from habitually losing organizations, even the former Sox players. It amazes me though that players from the farm seem to fail in high leverage situations.
  6. We are so conditioned to believing that. I wonder if fans of other teams have that same disease. Aj and Ozzie come from a different decade and may not have dealt with anything like today's player. I guess no one has bothered to call AJ to be involved in an instructional league or manage rookie league. At least Ozzie paid his dues to get there.
  7. How often we forget that the Sox were wise in not renewing this contract.
  8. White Sox baseball is like insulting baseball.
  9. So have those prospects arrived to the minors yet? I seen nothing on the Baron's site.
  10. So now any potential they have will now be ruined on the farm, if not the big league team will.
  11. Maybe GMs not named Rick Hahn sees failure in high leverage situations with those guys.
  12. They don't have competent people for that unless you like rebuilds Royals style.
  13. LOL! I'm sure there's another Vaughn or Madrigal out there for them.
  14. I wouldn't want Katz back either.
  15. Overall pitching has regressed under Katz. They should try someone else next season.
  16. There's zillions of theories, research, forum "experts". We seem to live in an age where so many athletes getting injured. It's the bubble wrap era.
  17. That was your 2022 White Sox.
  18. Uhm......just like......the Royals? After a paragraph or two it's like nothing new under the sun. As for fundamentals I never blame a manager since they are never an organization priority.
  19. Some owners are more about ego and less about business. Sometimes their ego gets in the way and they go past their boundaries. Jerry is more business and gets in the way. Then there are the owners who spend where winning is more important than profit.
