I think we will keep Harris bcoz he plays 2nd base and CF. Willie can give D'angelo and "Crash" Rowand some rest if they ever struggle. I am not a Josh Paul fan so I dont care if we lose him or not.

Our very own Maggs Hey guys this is a great article on our superstar Magglio Ordonez. I am so impressed with him bcoz after coming off his best season last year, he didnt just sit and wait for spring training. He started working out and getting ready since Jan 05. He is truly the leader of our beloved SOX even if not through words but through his work ethic and just being one of the best baseball players in the league. He also said he wouldnt mind becoming an MVP but that comes only from working hard. I really like Maggs, his winning attitude and leadership through his actions. I believe he can take us to the promise land!!!!

I think he will hit about .285, 25HRs, 70 RBIs, 80K's and 30BBs. I think he is capable of hitting more HRs. I really like Crede. At last we have a great defense and bat in the hot corner since Robin Ventura.

The latest article on Frank today on the White Sox's main website says that he and Paulie buried the hatchet today. I think this is very positive for our team. I like Frank but its better for him not to say anything bcoz he always come up on the wrong end. I also listen to KW earlier today in talkin baseball on the ESPN radio 1000. KW was not a happy camper bcoz the first day of the spring training wasnt all that positive bcoz of what Hurt said on Saturday. So it is good to read a positive article on Frank that he is willing to talk to Jerry Manuel and he burried the hatchet with Paulie.

He looks good especially in a White SOX uniform. Im so glad we have him on our side.

just voted lots of times also.

What player in our minor league system will play a huge role for us to be successful this year? I think Ed Almonte will be key for us. Rauch can have a break out season this year. How about Mario Valenzuela, he looks like a good hitter? Could it be Malone or may be he needs more time in the minors. But I'm kind of intrigue by Josh Stewart, will he be able to pitch in the bigs. I know I may be dreaming but can he be a pleasant surprise the way Buerhle surprised us?
-
I agree, at least KW tried to get us another pitcher in Rogers. Trying to sign Rogers is a lot better than not doing anything. I also wonder, did Kenny Rogers want to be a SOX(leaving aside what Boras wants)? Anyway, I like Rauch and I think he will be ok if he showed the same confident pitching he gave us the last month of the season last year. Remember, he was once a great pitching prospect before the injury he suffered.
-
I heard one of the interviews Mark had on the radio. He said all the things he said about playing for the Cardinals got blown out of hand. He said he really want to stay with the SOX. He also said he is hopeful that something will get done soon or this coming offseason. And finally, Buerhle said he really love Chicago and would be willing to sign a long term deal with the sox.
-
I wouldn't say that is big....we're signing, at best, a #4 starter....and I'd prefer to keep Rauch in the rotation and let him mature this year....but oh well. The thing is, I keep reading that Loiza was the likely #5. I'll take Rogers any day of the week over Loiza. I am a huge Rauch supporter though. The way I see it, were destined to have injuries and I think its awesome knowing that Rauch is right there when they do happen. I dont like Loaiza as a 5th starter if we dont get K. Rogers. i think its better to give Rauch the opportunity to grow the same as John Lackey for the Angels(was he a rookie last year?). Besides, Rauch was great during his starts on the last month of the season last year.

When is that Garage sale exactly? Would you suggest wait for that before buying a jersey at any other store?
-
Thanks for the suggestion guys. I like the 1917 jersey. I also like the throw back jersey with Carlton Fisk's number on it. The color combinations looks good with gray, white, black and red (70's jersey?). I looked in Ebay and most of Frank Thomas' Jersey go for only 24+ bucks. I dont know why its cheap does it have to do with the problems he has (i really dont care). They are too cheap but the sizes are XL but I want the jersey to be loose. I will wait and see for other options. But im goin to check out Grandstand. Thanks again!

Congrats to our very own Maggs Ordonez. I read the article on him and he talked a lot on the article its on MLB.com. I think he is going to take over our team be the leader he deserves to be. The home run challenge will air on March 30th I believe.
-
Hopefully that decision is to play for us. It is going to be nice to have 2 lefties in the rotation and throw off course our opponents. I read he is good against the Twins and beating them is the key this year.
-
Ok, I am planning to get my first White Sox Jersey. I bought the little stuffs before but I never bought a jersey yet. Where can I buy one? How about a throw back jersey of the White Sox? Need help guys, I want it before the season starts.
-
not to mention that kw loves jose almost as much as he loves lee.... so i dont see jose going anywhere unless hes holding lees hand out the door....... Just heard on the radio that the white sox organization says Jose isnt going anywhere and that he is not a subject to any trades.
-
I think getting Beltran is a better move to make. He has good power and great defense. And if we sign him long term, we will have a great OF of Beltran,Borchard and Ordonez. This outfield is going to be the best in the league.
-
I cant find any source for this trade. All I found is a message board on AOL sports talking about this trade. I would like this trade if it doesnt involve Rauch. He stole 40 bases 2 years ago and last year had 31 SBs. We definitely need his speed. He also had 60 RBIs I think last year.
-
It would be nice to have a good middle infield defense. But how good is Rollins defensively? I dont think we need to give Rauch to get Rollins, throw in some other prospect. He hit 11 HRs with .245 avg. I havent seen much of Rollins but is he going to be a real great upgrade in our SS position defensively?
-
Kenny Rogers is going to be a great pick up but what are the chances he or Boras will want to get less money this year. But him on the rotation, all the combined wins of the starters will total to 78 wins. If all our pitchers improve a little bit and be consistent, we could be in very good shape. I like the rotation of Buerhle, Colon, Garland, Rogers and Wright.
-
2 things comes to my mind, 1. what would the cost be in getting him? 2. what would be the cost in keeping him? I think it would be cheaper for JR to just higher a hitman to murder the entire Twins team......... We'd have to trade with Billy Beane again....... maybe we could pull a Tejada for Wade Parrish deal to counter-act the Adkins for Ray-Ray deal. May be its time for the Sox to finally get the most out of the trade b/w the Sox vs. A's. May be KW will out duel Billy Beane for the first time?
-
My answer is a resounding yes. I would trade for him in a heartbeat. We need a good middle-infield defense and he will give us that. His offense and defense is up in the caliber of A-rod, Jeter and Nomar. He is on his prime of his career and his leadership will give us a huge boost. We got Colon so why stop there. Get Miguel and we will definitely have a chance to go deep in the playoffs. If not this spring training, we need to trade for him in the off-season bcoz Manos might not be back. Miguel will supply us what Manos gives us which is leadership but with A VERY HUGE UPGRADE DEFENSIVELY.
-
I like the idea of trading for Carlos Beltran. If we do trade for him, we better make sure he signs with us. He is a good left bat on the lineup and he has lots of potentials to put up huge numbers and be an every year all star. Do you guys think KW is looking at this bcoz he will be another great pick up by KW, oh yeah there are good moves by KW especially COLON.
-
I think Rauch is gonna be our 5th starter. He was good late last season and I am hoping that is a preview of what he could become. I hope he is back to his old self now bcoz he will be a very pleasant surprise and besides, he is still a highly touted pitching prospect so we should expect him to be ready and contribute.
-
Its still a scary thought losing our ACE no matter what. I just read the article about Buerhle wanting to play for the Cardinals since last year on the Tribune. There's a quote there that Buerhle talked to Walt Jocketty that they should get him to St. Louis no matter what bcoz he would really love to play for the Cards. Hope he stays...
