  1. I have zero respect for Hahn, even if it’s true (and Espada was my 1st choice). Hahn should still be fired.
  2. There's no question Washington would be a good choice for simply improving basic fundamentals of the game which this team desperately needs. I'm not sure how'd I'd feel about him as a manager on an in-game basis. Maybe he is very open to an analytical approach for in-game management. I think it's pretty obvious that Tony did what he wanted playing Leury every day. That alone has to count for improvement somewhere.
  3. Burr is no longer with the Sox. I just think they probably could get the same type of production from any other RHP arm. Just looking at his overall career, I don't think Ruiz is anything special. He is what he is at this point IMO.
  4. I'd totally cut ties with Engel, Crick, and Ruiz no problem. Especially Engel.
  5. Cocaine would certainly be one way to get the team to hustle. They'd go from 65-70% effort to 125%!
  6. Sure, he’s had his moments this year, but as someone I’ve followed for many years in the minors, he’s going to need way more than 200 good AB’s for me to believe in him. Is there a chance he magically figured something out this season? Absolutely, I just don’t have all that much faith in leaning on him to be an actual option moving forward.
  7. They'd have to cut Zavala too. He has no more options. I would have rather they cut him and kept McGuire. I don't see much upside or benefit with Seby.
  8. As much as I’d like to think Pollock has a chance at finding $5-8M on the open market, just look at last year at what some guys got. I don’t think there will be a team willing to go that length with him when his current level of production is a replaceable weak side platoon bat. He’d have to truly hate this team and/or city to walk away. And let’s be honest, even if he did, what’s six months in a place you hate in exchange for $13M. We’d all take the money if in that situation.
  9. That's even better news. Keep him as far away from roster decisions as possible. Arizona was a disaster.
  10. Wow. Just wow. This team continues to surprise me with how poorly they play. Gio has lost himself a s%*# ton of money this season.
  11. The problem is Jerry. I have no doubt that the FO have concerns with Abreu and his lack of power. Hell, they have a more than capable replace staring them in the face with AV. Jerry stepping in like he did last time or finally sitting on the sidelines will be the determining factor on what happens with Jose.
  12. Yes, the lead signer. I like Ghost. They have some catchy songs.
  13. If they aren't making the playoffs, I honestly hope they lose every game from here on out. It needs to get as bad as possible to hope that some type of change happens. Hahn has to be fired. Menechino has to be fired. Tony needs to be cremate....er fired.
  14. Jerry in heaven? Yikes have God's standards for entry really taken a hit recently.
  15. I’m surprised with Burke. Colas deserves it. He’s definitely knocking on the door for RF next spring.
  16. Hahn. It’s amazing how bad the Sox have been in some areas. It’s like the perfect storm of nailing the zero percentile for left-handed production. You’d almost have to try to be this bad.
  17. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The 2023 pen is going to have to fight Father Time, and Lambert (along with Lopez) might be the two most reliable arms with any resemblance of upside for this team.
  18. All the more reason to watch him completely destroy his legacy. He will be gone way before any of us. We ultimately hold his future reputation with young fans. I know I’ll be sure to let younger fans know how overrated and extremely lucky he was as a manager over his shame of a career.
  19. I will happily boo and chant for him to get fired if he returns. The man is making a mockery of the game with his asinine decision making, and he's an arrogant prick. Being a "Hall of Famer" doesn't exempt you for life from facing repercussions from fans reactions to bad play or decision making. Being sick doesn't exempt an asshole for being seen as an asshole. Just because someone gets sick or dies doesn't automatically make them a saint. You won't find me rooting for him to die - that is classless - but I am not going to suddenly change my feelings because he had to visit his doctor.
  20. Couldn't agree more.
  21. And even that is heavily skewed thanks to the Astros. Take away that game and they are looking much better.
