  1. Really? Their main get for Betts, and they already want to move on from him? He’s a solid player.
  2. This. This team is never going to land the big name player until JR is gone.
  3. He never was. Look at the players he had. Most overrated “HOF” manager in the history of the game. He doesn’t belong there, but got lucky worth the players he had on his teams.
  4. 100% agree. Renteria was absolutely a better manager.
  5. This game is over. I will never understand the lovefest some people have with Zavala. He is downright awful. I don't ever remember him ever being able to block a ball at home.
  6. I wonder if he has vestibular neuritis. I suffered from it roughly 6-7 years ago and it took me months to finally feel better. A nasty vertigo attack that last 8 hrs and gave me 35% damage to my right vestibule nerve. I was even misdiagnosed with Meniere’s until a dizzy doctor downtown helped me out. I had to do a bunch of physical therapy to “rewire” how my brain worked so my balance got back to normal. The constant feeling of being dizzy or off was a prominent problem after the attack happened. Really annoying and aggravating until that doctor figured out what was wrong.
  7. I think given his age, you can’t put much stock into what he’s doing. He’s a top 30 talent, but he needs to be facing age appropriate competition before you can honestly evaluate him fairly. It would be amazing if his power stroke was legit. I’m really looking forward to where he ends up next season. Could be a fun one to watch come up through the system.
  8. This is a good point. Lots of upside along with the risk. Hopefully we see some early results out of these picks. I'd argue all 4 of those guys listed are well within the top 30 rankings of the farm right now.
  9. Colson Montgomery Oscar Colas Noah Schultz Norge Vera Peyton Pallette Lenyn Sosa Bryan Ramos Wes Kath Jose Rodriguez Sean Burke
  10. Keeping my fingers crossed they don’t have to punt any picks. Do we know what Pallette is asking for?
  11. Wow. I figured Toman was going to school. That's a great get there for Toronto.
  12. Prielipp and Toman both going to be there for the taking?
  13. I'd be happy with that. Toman is my preferred guy.
  14. Lynn's fastball is down in velocity and movement according to Savant. Little worrisome since he is 35, but hopefully its because he had no ST. He just isn't dependable at all right now.
  15. Great win. Pull off a W tomorrow and they might be flipping me to a believer they can still pull this off. Need Lynn to show up in a big way tomorrow.
  16. It's embarrassing how bad Charlotte's pitching has been. I'll never understand why the Sox are incapable of bringing in some AAAA arms to give a little depth.
  17. He does owe Ricky an apology. I’d hate to be compared to that bumbling drunk prick too.
  18. With how arrogant Tony is, I can’t see him stepping down. He’s the type of person that will blame everything else before taking responsibility himself.
  19. He totally has to be responsible for some of this mess. Someone is giving these players reports on the pitchers and their tendencies. Someone is giving these hitters a game plan. If it isn’t the hitting coach who else could it be? These guys aren’t all magically coming up with the same strategy game after game after game. These player bought into some bad philosophy that the only thing that matters is putting the ball in play. Menechino is literally on record with his “fuck the home run” comment.
  20. Not too late though to make a statement and fire Mennichino. Who cares if won’t change anything. Start holding people accountable.
  21. Yep. Short ST, abnormal injury to start the season, Covid, and he oddly bulked up way too much coming out of the offseason. To say he’s magically washed is laughable. He’s had a really odd year. You wanna say someone is washed, look at Lynn and that knee of his. That at least could be an argument.
  22. He has zero approach. Idk what happened with him whether it be Menechino or his own stubbornness, but he needs to seriously work on pitch recognition.
  23. Getting rid of TLR can only help this team. Whether or not he’s responsible for all, most, or some of the issues, he’s a moron that has had the game pass him by. From not knowing the rules last year, to his constant questionable lineups and in-game decisions there is zero advantage to having him in that clubhouse.
