  1. What an atrocious savant page too. Outside of the elite GB% it's A LOT of blue... and even that seems like a huge outlier compared to the rest of his career.
  2. Viciedo actually had a very successful career overseas. But I wouldn't even worry over Eloy's career. He made a lot of money for doing a whole lot of nothing in the majors.
  3. Yep, Cabrera reportedly had a strain/partial tear of his UCL at the end of the season.
  4. I honestly wouldn't have hated it as a MiLB deal. Charlotte needs a 1B. Hell, he probably would have hit 40 bombs out of Truist.
  5. Honestly seems like something shady was going on and they are getting in front of it. Not only did they fire their scouting director, but they also fired the assistant to him. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't gotten more attention.
  6. Not surprising at all. His profile didn't look all that great for success in the MLB.
  7. He also doesn't hit the ball particularly hard. It'll be interesting to see how his bat (and power) translates while also trying to play secondary positions. I originally was more on him than Mune, but I honestly think his career will end up being closer to Yoshida's.
  8. Verdugo is also a guy who has run himself out of multiple organizations. There's a reason he continues to beg for a job from teams. Immaturity, lack of hustle, and poor work ethic is not something this team really needs right now after they finally shed most of the Hahn era guys.
  9. Seems headed that direction. He doesn't miss a lot of bats. If you wouldn't sign Sugano, you wouldn't want Takahashi.
  10. I've never considered him to have direct connections with the FO. I've always figured he has connections with the money side of things or the internal budget. He's legit.
  11. He doesn't know any more than we do.
  12. It's still early in the day. We very likely will hear something in one direction or another from US media personalities. Same thing happened with Murakami - it went Japanese source first before Merk/Feinsand picked it up.
  13. Yep, and Davitt getting protected clearly shows they see value in him. Mead got a lot of playing time down the stretch. I'd imagine they've seen enough there to make a determination on him.
  14. This is true, but you're forgetting Rendon wants to do literally anything else outside of playing baseball. Benny still clearly wants to be on the field.
  15. Pereira, Mead, Lee, and Hill are all out of options. If Sosa and Robert stick around, one of those 4 is going to get cut. I'd imagine Pereira is the safest bet to stick around considering they gave up MLB assists to get him. Really makes carrying 3 catchers pointless, but like everyone knows, Tell and Q really need to be playing as much as possible. Makes a lot of sense they'd be open to moving one because it really does limit the roster construction. I would think Mead is the odd man out with the current roster as it stands.
  16. I'd love this to happen as much as anyone, but when I first saw this I just immediately figured it was Boras doing his thing to get final bids.
  17. I can't see Jerry allowing any more big ticket signings with Robert still on the payroll. Okamoto doesn't really fit here anyways unless the Sox are seriously considering Murakami at 3B. I'd love if Ishbia stepped in and aggressively went after Imai. He is arguable the best of the 4 coming over from Japan this offseason and would give the Sox a legitimate ace starter.
  18. Yeah... that seams highly unlikely. Sox want pitching for Robert, yet are going to trade away pitching? No chance.
  19. Anyone but Tauchman - he can't play in the field either. Watching him in the field or just run in general in September was like watching one of those commercials of dogs locked in cages with no food.
  20. Unless they are crazy enough to let him try out the OF? I thought I remember reading Moncada told teams he was willing to play the OF. Still seems crazy to me, because they very clearly cut ties with him at the end of 2024.
  21. Are teams really gonna let him play 3B? I've yet to see a report from anyone who's actually watched Okamoto say he can stick at 3B regularly.
  22. This honestly isn't a terrible add. He has solid K% & BB% at AAA, steals a crap ton of SB's too. Better than many of the stiffs they've had stashed in Charlotte last few years.
  23. The bullpen is not good. As of right now, there will be 2 arms that haven't pitched above A-ball.
  24. Honestly depends on how many of the kids take another step in their sophomore year. Hopefully we don't see too many struggles or take a step back. Sox got lucky where pretty much everyone that debuted played pretty well. I feel like that's incredibly rare. They'd need Braden to hit the ground running too to help solidify an OF spot and Schultz would need to prove he's healthy and ready to be a big league pitcher. I still think this team is 90+ losses at the moment, but they should be at least 'fun bad' team as opposed to just bad and not worth watching.
  25. I would trade him. Getting Quero AB's is more important.
