2026 First Round Draft Poll
I want Roch, but I think they will take Emerson.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
If games are not played or cancelled, they'll likely do what they did during Covid - carry over your deposit until games are played you can attend. I had my entire 2021 tickets paid off after no fans in 2020.

RHP Ben Peoples to TEX for C Ben Hartl (High A)
It is odd, but I'll trust the Sox judgment on moving on. Peoples had a glaring problem of walking too many batters. Perhaps he refused to make the changes necessary to get called up? I'm not even going to get upset about this - they still have a lot of talent arms down there just as deserving or working their way back from injury. Wikelman Gonzalez and a resurgent Jairo Iriarte are way more exciting options to me than Peoples ever was.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I wouldn't hate the Sox going after Seth Halvorsen. He fits Bannisters M.O. of maximum extension and he throws absolute heat. He's very controllable, but I don't think he'd cost all that much either because he has had his struggles this season. Would easily give the Sox another potential late arm if they can figure out the control issues. I know everyone wants a big time add, but if the Sox aren't willing to move top prospects it might be very hard for them to make a big splash. This feels more like the type of deal Getz has pursued in the past.

Sox acquire Nolan Jones
Charlotte needs some OF bats. His advanced metrics in AAA actually aren't all that bad either.

Jacob Gonzalez called up, per Passan
I'd temper some expectations with Gonzalez. We all know how Truist Field plays, and his home/road splits are quite drastic... Home: .356/.468/.856/1.324 Away: .253/.349/.407/.756 I hope he really has figured some stuff out (I hated when they drafted him), and it would be nice to have another success story - but I do think the vast majority of his performance is more along the lines of a MiLB park factor than anything else.

Mune Injury Watch
I honestly think they'll be ok. It always hurts to lose your best bat, but this team has a never give up mentality and continue to amaze me the way the figure out how to win games. Might be a good test for them.

5/27 6:40 CDT game thread
Acuna making more and more appearances at SS. Gotta think they are exhausting all reasons to potentially keep him around. He has to be on the chopping block with the inevitable return of Hayes.

Berroa, Carela getting TJ
Doesn't seem like anyone is reporting what happened. Maybe one of the FutureSox guys can provide an update.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Except those players could scratch an itch on Roch's ass. His pedigree is substantially higher than all those players listed.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
This is my main concern. I'm not gonna discredit claims he has a higher ceiling than Roch or even may end up the better player at the end of their careers, but give me the safer bet. Sox shouldn't over think this. Do the due diligence, but not going Roch at 1-1 would be a mistake IMO.

ABS for challenges only or for every pitch?
I honestly really like the challenge system. It adds a whole new dynamic to watching games in person when that slow reveal hits the Jumbotron.

5/12/26 - Royals @ Sox - 6:40 pm CDT
I was told by many Derek Hill was worthless.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
It's a great problem to have that the Sox arguable have never had. They'll figure out pitching when they need it.

Alek Thomas
Thomas does have 1 more MiLB option left, so he wouldn't be required to stick on the active roster.
-
Trade
Same. I'm not sure who he is replacing on the active roster. Bido?

Jacob Gonzalez probably not called up:Tweet deleted
This is bs. That guy isn't affiliated with either FS or JBB, and he deleted it.

Is it time to bring up Hagen Smith?
I think there's an argument that Smith > Kay at this point. At least Smith's stuff will miss bats.
-
Is it time to bring up Hagen Smith?
He probably should, but he isn't getting deep into any games in Charlotte. I'm sure most of that strategy is probably by design, but I just can't see him being all that valuable to the MLB team at the moment if he is failing to get through 5 innings. It's really confusing how they are handling him.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
And to think people wanted to keep him. This is what Robert is. The guy just simply cannot stay healthy.
-
Oh no! McDougal
Well, that's a relief.

White Sox add RHP Tyler Davis, DFA Lucas Sims
Happy for Davis. He deserves a shot. Have to imagine Winkelman isn't far behind.

Hitting is non-existent
I think it's just a sign of the times that today's managers have different expectations put on them. The game evolves, and their responsibilities are no longer revolve around the lineup unless a guy needs a day off or something off the field is affecting a player the metrics don't have the ability to see. Personally, I have no issues with advanced metrics crunching numbers to produce the most 'effective' lineup for a particular matchup. Winning teams follow this formula. The issue is the Sox have a heap of role players, bench bats, and AAAA types filling out the majority of their lineup, so these types of players aren't going to be hitting that 90th percentile the metrics are aiming to achieve.

Schultz gets the call, Antonacci up too!
Davitt was already optioned to make room for Cannon. I'm pretty sure Cannon will be sent back to Charlotte, hurt or not.

Sosa traded to Blue Jays for minor league OF Jordan Rich and PTBNL
He isn't on it. He's a lotto ticket type player.
