  1. I've... literally never said he doesn't deserve a shot (or want him to fail). How you are coming to that conclusion by me having low expectations because his profile historically doesn't breed success is beyond me.
  2. He definitely deserved the promotion.
  3. He was a top 30 guy in the Yankees system. His savant shows elite extension and his Curve and Sweeper seem to be above average movement-wise. At least he's 25, so maybe they have something they can work with instead of some of the other stiffs in the pen.
  4. Choosing to look at a much larger sample size of data to make a guess how a player may perform is wrong? I wish the kid all the success he can get, but I'm not sold on him being a savior of the White Sox after 112 AB's in Charlotte. Let's see him do it in the majors and prove me wrong.
  5. Before this year, Elko rocked a 7.0 BB% in the minors. I would tend to lean that the 11.6% we are seeing this year, is likely more of an outlier than some drastic change. He's never really been known as a patient hitter.
  6. Would it really surprise you if they did that? If it doesn't make sense, it's probably a White Sox move. Adding Maton back made zero sense. His spot should have been Elko's.
  7. Maybe the phantom IL Chase? Do we know why he was scratched last night?
  8. The lack of plate discipline and high K% isn't something that leads me to believe he will have long term success or turn into a potential long term answer for this team. But the kid is deserving to get a shot and can't be much worse than what we are seeing from Vaughn.
  9. Absolutely terrible news. What a shame to have a life cut so tragically short. RIP Heads.
  10. Nothing but minor league depth.
  11. The design itself isn't bad, like you said the flying sock logo is actually pretty nice. It's just an incredibly lazy ass design. The point of these is to connect it the team to the city of Chicago, and this fails miserably at that. There is nothing connecting the Sox and Bulls outside of piss-poor ownership.
  12. Could be something, could also be as simple as the law of averages finally catching up after having such a great decade.
  13. Getz is a yes-boy, and Clevinger has a deep connection to one of the stakeholders in the team. He's going to do as he is told.
  14. Yeah, Scriffen gonna Scrifffff. What a ridiculous short segment that was, hahaha.
  15. Ego, narcissism are the worst traits someone in his position can have. He simply blames everything but himself when something goes wrong.
  16. Now he is being stretched out as a starter. This guy is like a genital wart on this organization that refuses to go away. We'll totally gonna see this idiot back here later in the year.
  17. Wrong Perez.
  18. Doubt it. He isn't going to have the counting stats that matter (i.e. HR's, RBI's)
  19. That's assuming Robert makes it to the deadline without an IL stint. I wanted Robert moved before the season. I have no faith the guy is going to stay healthy to be a valuable trade asset.
  20. He's single handedly convinced me that you never ever, ever draft a 1B in the 1st round of the draft.
  21. Good. People need to not get so bent out of shape over every guy that leaves here and calls the organization out. That's a direct reflection of Jerry Reindsdorf and how he chooses to operate his team. The Sox are behind other teams. It's pretty obvious when you watch a Sox game and compare that on-field product it to around the league.
  22. Eh, not sure about that. There's a logjam of bodies for Charlotte's OF: Jones, Fletcher, Julks, Mitchell, DeLoach and now Palacios. With Teel and Q splitting time at DH... I think it's more than just due to a rehab assignment.
  23. Makes it even worse that Brian Bannister commented to his tweet about what a great job he's doing. Schriffin is an underqualified idiot. He doesn't deserve to be a MLB broadcaster.
