How do we know Pereira isn't in the plans to be the the starting RF or LF? Hill is fine as a 4th OF. He's in the 99% in speed and plays very good defense. If you liked Billy Hamilton then you should have no issue with Hill.

For when Robert gets hurt again. They have no legit CF option. $900K is nothing.

He's hurt and is going to miss all of 2026. No reason to keep him around and waste a 40-man spot.

Hopefully Ishbia is 100% in charge so we don't need to worry about seeing Montgomery leave. If the Sox land the #1 pick in the lottery, Roch Cholowski is going to make all this moot.

If everything falls into place, which is highly unlikely because not every player 'makes it' - I would say the ideal outcome is Carlson at SS, Bonemer at 3B, and Montgomery in LF. But again, not all these guys are going to pan out, baseball doesn't work like that.

I could see that. Vargas doesn't seem to have the bat for 1B, and his defense is too rough at 3B to stick there. Like you said, he's kind of a complementary player rather than a lineup fixture long-term.

I don't think they would. Ishbia is going to want to own the new stadium. Working with the Friends of the Park is nothing but a disaster.

I'd move him if the price is right. I've never really considered Vargas as a player that will be here when this team is ready to compete.

He has a digital marketing company with his brother that must be doing fairly well. It's not like he was being guaranteed league minimum bouncing between Charlotte and Chicago this past season. Probably way more consistent for what he wants out of life at this point.

Nashville makes too much sense for an expansion team. Especially the location - it would really allow for the league to realign divisions like we've seen suggested the past few years. I'd love to see the Expos return, but I'd think we see another team elsewhere before that happens.

But he has to stay on the active roster for the team that claims him for 90 days. So you're looking at a team rehabbing him in ST, then somehow working him back immediately into a MLB bullpen to hit the minimum days required. I just can't see it being a possibility with the amount of arms out there that are more likely to be selected and healthier.

Adams coming off TJ surgery, I'd think he'd be a safe bet to leave off. Would another team really risk carrying a guy that isn't even necessarily going to be ready to start the year?

I'm surprised Robertson has any value to another MLB team. There wasn't a single thing he did that I was impressed with in his short sampling this year.

Non-tender Wilson and Hill. I'd tender Tauchman, even though I do think the guy is starting to breakdown. He seemed to have a positive influence on the team though, so I'd bring him back. Wilson was already DFA'd by the Sox and they are going to need the space to protect some arms from the R5.

I certainly don't. He looked really brutal towards the end of this year.
