Despite the team's decent start, I think management is still looking at this as a rebuilding year, so they aren't going to just eat his contract just because Semien or LGarcia would be a marginal upgrade, especially now that Gillaspie is back and Semien will have to go to AAA to get more playing time anyway. If the Sox are somehow in playoff contention in July and Keppinger is just wasting a roster spot, then would be the time to consider just dumping him.

Bears 14th pick = 1100 points Jets 18th pick = 900 points Jets 80th pick (Rd 3) = 190 points Jets 209th pick (Rd 6 compensatory) = 7.8 points, total of 1097.8 points I guess if you go "by the book" that would be the deal.

Team ERA is based on the total innings pitched by the team. Jones getting an out doesn't move the team ERA any more or any less than any other pitcher getting an out. Jones getting an out moves HIS ERA much more than any other pitcher getting an out.

Well, the Sox have had 7 players on the DL (just went back to 6 with Gillaspie coming back), so that's 7 AAA players that were on the Sox, which means 7 AA players at Charlotte, and 7 A players at Birmingham.
