Dan Ryan Branch Red Line to Close for 5 Months Beginning Spring 2013
I always took the Green Line, but then I was living in Oak Park so I had to end up on the Green Line anyway.

1/3 of the way through the season
Sometime late this afternoon, I'll compile all the posts in this thread and produce a composite report card.

1/3 of the way through the season
Adam Dunn is clearly a unique player. No other player has such a high walk rate and ISO rate to be able to have a batting average of .220 yet an OPS over .920. That said, it will take an OPS much higher than .920 to win AL MVP, and his average will have to get up to at least .240-.250 in order to get his OPS up high enough for MVP consideration. Still, if Dunn's final slash line for the season is similar to the .222/.376/.545 it is now, I'll be thrilled.

2012 MLB draft talk
Starts at 7pm, live on MLBN, the Sox will make their 1st and supplemental picks tonight. Not sure about time between picks but my guess would be 10 minutes. EDIT: That's 7pm Eastern time.

Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
Hudson is not 'doing fine'. He has a .585 OPS. If Youk can be had on reasonable terms, you get him. What becomes of Hudson is the Sox either keep him as a bench player and demote Escobar, or they DFA Hudson. They have so little money invested in Hudson, it doesn't really matter.

Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
Only way the Sox are getting Youk is if they are willing to take on his entire salary and no other team is offering up a prime prospect.

2012 MLB Catch All thread
Took me a minute to realize these comments were unrelated.

Chalk that one up to the "Wow, I didn't even realize he was still alive" category.

Chisox TV for the Out-of-Towner
They always show every team at least once in April, but after that it is a lot of those three. Though they do show a lot of recent WS teams like the Phillies and Rangers as well. And yes, I agree, I'd rather see MLB tonight than a non-Sox game.
-
Here's a radical idea
I'm not in favor of doing this for regular season games, but if the Sox are fortunate enough to make the WS and there is still no production from 3B, I think Robin would have to do it then.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
My family is contributing an extra 14 for Saturday's game.

Chisox TV for the Out-of-Towner
After no appearances on MLBN in May, the Sox get a whopping two in June, and one of those games is on WGN anyway.
-
It must be said - Hawk Harrelson has to go
As bad as Wegner's call was, it doesn't top Charlie Haeger getting tossed for hitting a guy with a knuckleball.

White Sox vs Mariners 7:10 CST
I live 288 miles away and I'm going to at least 2 games this year.

White Sox have flipped from sellers to buyers
This is Volquez' second arb year, so he would be a FA after the 2013 season.

Job Hunt Thread
Are you still with this firm, and do they handle medical malpractice claims?

White Sox have flipped from sellers to buyers
If the Sox are willing to take on salary, they'll probably be able to get something helpful without giving up too much talent.

The Off-day boredom thread
I guess it's a good thing the Sox don't play tonight, since I wouldn't be able to watch while in my closet dodging another round of tornadoes.

Gordon Beckham vs. Joe Crede
Regardless of how you get there, a 50 point difference in SLG is significant. You can't just dismiss it by saying that it's just six homers per year.

Gordon Beckham vs. Joe Crede
50 point difference in SLG is not in any way similar.
