  1. On an episode of SVU, the alleged crime was committed on 10/26/05 and Det. Stabler references it as the day the Sox won the WS.
  2. Yes, because with that you get the weather and the beaches. It's still close with NY, but I rate Chicago far higher and Miami far lower than both.
  3. Hope Sale brings his best stuff, because TBD always seems to kick our behinds.
  4. Danks might very well be the team's 4th best starter right now.
  5. MLB Network with live coverage beginning in 2 minutes.
  6. Congrats, Phil! Looked like he got the benefit of the doubt there at the end, but well-deserved anyway.
  7. Still seeing every pitch of the RS-Yanks game. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell everybody at FOX to go f**k yourselves!
  8. My order would be: Vacation: New York >>>>> Los Angeles > Chicago >>>>> Miami Live: Chicago >>>>>>> Los Angeles > New York >>>>>> Miami
  9. I want to see how AJ and Flowers do with the Sox the rest of this year and how Phegley does at Charlotte before deciding whether or not to bring AJ back.
  10. I don't want anybody to be the closer. I want Santiago pitching in the highest-leverage situation vs LH batters and Crain pitching in the highest-leverage situation vs RH batters and I want Thornton pitching in the second highest-leverage situation in both cases.
  11. I would leave Rios in right. He seems very comfortable there. As for the lineup, the Dunn-Konerko-AJ-Rios sequence seems to be working very well right now. Either find somebody else to replace Morel at #2, or just move the entire group up one spot in the order. They get the comfort of saying in the same sequence but just up one spot in the lineup.
  12. Rios and Alexei are batting behind Konerko and AJ right now--they're just doing it one spot later in the order.
  13. What about just moving everybody else up one spot? de Aza Dunn Konerko AJ Rios Alexei Dayan Beckham Morel
  14. Bench players for any team, especially an AL team, are typically pretty poor hitters. You have four guys to back up 8 positions, so for at least a couple of them the ability to play multiple positions outweighs offensive ability. Then you have a backup catcher, when the average starting catcher is already a pretty poor hitter.
  15. To me, that's a misapplication of sabremetrics. If you want to emphasize walking more, then scout, draft, and sign guys who walk more. Don't try to force guys that don't walk a lot to walk more.
  16. Dunn hasn't had a lot of practice as a baserunner in the lat year.
