  1. How many of Chen's HBP were Quentin though? Nobody throws at Quentin, he's just a ball magnet.
  2. None of these fools have yet to convince me not to write-in Mitch Daniels.

    Real or Fake?

Tits: Real Tree: Fake Though in both cases I appreciate both kinds.
  4. Yeah, it was an ugly loss, but the Bears with Hanie are good enough to beat KC, DEN, SEA, and MIN, and even if they lose one of those four they're still 10-6 and that's good enough.
  5. I don't think Hendrix will leave, but Rees might and Crist certainly won't be applying for a 5th year. The day Weis was fired I was hoping ND would hire anybody but Kelly.
  6. Today I am the beneficiary of the Colts absolutely sucking this year, as the Louisville FOX station is choosing to air Bears-Raiders instead of Colts-Panthers. First time since I've lived here that either the Colts or Bengals were not shown except when being in conflict with each other.
  7. Hopefully, next year he will get that cannon arm aimed at his receivers. Don't know how much that will help though, with a total moron calling the plays.
  8. Signing Mark is a double win--gives the Sox a quality pitcher and with him off the market it drives up the trade value for Danks.
  9. Alabama deserves it, but nobody wants to see that game. Just give LSU the championship and let Alabama, Oregon, Houston, and Oklahoma/OSU have a four team tournament to decide second place.
  10. Bears now have tiebreaker over Detroit and will be in no worse than 2nd wildcard spot even if they lose Sunday.
  11. I've got a friend named Ron who was a QB in college. He won two fewer Heismans than people said he would, but he has a good arm and I think somebody should sign him.
  12. I think no matter what happens in the games, Orton is the #3 QB this Sunday and the #2 QB next Sunday. At that point, there will be two weeks worth of Hanie's play to evaluate and then make the decision from there.

    Thanksgiving

November 2013 is the expected opening date for the new 31 bypass of Kokomo with ZERO STOP LIGHTS! I have a calendar where I am counting down the days.

    Thanksgiving

Due to unavoidable scheduling between my wife's family in Indy and my family in South Bend, we will be driving from the former to the latter on the day after Thanksgiving. Over/under on the number of people I kill/maim while fighting Kokomo traffic that day is 1.5
  15. My work has a pretty strict password policy: 1) Must be 12-16 characters long 2) Must contain at least one uppercase letter, at least one lowercase letter, at least one number, and at least one of !, $, %, ^, &, * 3) Must not have the same singe character repeated more than 3 times consecutively and must not have the same sequence of 2+ characters repeated at all 4) Must not contain employee's login name, birthdate, or SSN 5) New password must not have a sequence of 5+ characters in common with any of the previous 6 passwords. I change my non-work passwords at the same time I'm required to change my work passwords, and use a mixture of the current and two most recent work passwords on the various sites, so that they aren't all the same, but I only have to remember 3 passwords at a time.
  16. Check out the rack on this woman: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/c...0,2283486.story
  17. Unless the handshake agreement is that the Bears would claim him and pick up his salary in exchange for Denver doing the Bears the favor of waiving him. Denver must really have no confidence in Orton if they are giving him away to a team they play in a couple weeks.
  18. There are people who claim they are skilled enough at throwing dice to influence the outcome, but I've never seen proof.
  19. Well, it looks like I won't have to invest much emotionally into this season. I know Missouri is good, but you have to be pretty bad to lose to them by 29.
  20. I can't imagine the Yankees and Mets allowing a third NY team.
  21. A much longer yet much less impressive streak is that every NFL week from 1993 through 2010 featured at least one punt by a player from Notre Dame.
  22. With Miami, Tampa, and Oakland having such a hard time supporting teams, I don't think expansion is going to work anywhere right now, but in the hypothetical world, I think the best options would be: Portland San Antonio Las Vegas New Orleans San Jose would work, but only if Oakland moves there. Adding a third team in the Bay area won't work.
  23. Very unlikely, but what I'm hoping for: Arkansas beats LSU Friday Auburn beats Alabama Saturday Notre Dame beats Stanford Saturday Georgia beats Arkansas 12/3 Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State 12/3 Clemson beats Virginia Tech 12/3 At that point, the only undefeated team is Houston and the only 1-loss teams are LSU and Boise State. Who gets into the NC game then???
  24. Well, if you accept the premise that having two 15-team leagues is the way to go, then it isn't that far-fetched. You have eight teams in the Mountain/Pacific time zones: SEA, OAK, SF, LAD, LAA, SD, ARI, COL. You need two more teams from the Central time zone to stick in the Western divisions. Houston and Texas are pretty much the next farthest west teams, so they are the ones. If you have them in the same league, then only one of the two divisions has division opponents that are so far away, and from the standpoint of the Texas teams, they at least have each other for a rivalry and to minimize travel instead of each of them being stuck wtih four western teams. Of course, the real reason is that the Astros were changing hands so MLB had a way to force them to switch, but it actually makes sense as well.
  25. Did you read that somewhere, because spreading out the IL games over the entire season does not require having more interleague games? I know there are off days, but for simplicity's sake let's suppose there are 162 days in the season. Each day has to have at least one team in each league playing an IL game. You have 15 teams to cover 162 games, so each team would only have to average 10.8 IL games to be able to cover the season minimally. If each team maintains the current number of 18 IL games, you can have some days with one IL game and other days with three IL games and that covers it. You don't HAVE to increase the number of IL games per team.
