August 28th Game Thread: White Sox vs. Mariners
The Sir replied to InTheDriversSeat's topic in 2016 Season in Review
QUOTE (Scoots @ Aug 28, 2016 -> 08:30 AM) 2 things I will be looking for in this game: Continued offensive prowess from Abreu, Frazier and Avi, and for Rodon to get that ERA below 4. How about that Tim Anderson fella? -
August 17th Game Thread: ChiSox at Cleveland
The Sir replied to InTheDriversSeat's topic in 2016 Season in Review
Allen has allowed four or more runs in an outing three times in his career. Two of those were against us. Also, 29.1 IP with 16 ERs overall against us. Don't think we're a group he looks forward to. -
Frazier is truly awful.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) Soria is so bad it's laughable. He's the one guy so bad even the Sox hitters hit him. Soria pitched a 1-2-3 inning tonight. -
GDT- Chris Sale pitches against someone, soon

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) During our 23-10 stretch, one of the biggest factors in our success was clutch hits from Frazier. Sure, he went 1-4 every game, but that 1 hit was always a huge homer or RBI double late in the game. He has six home runs or doubles in the 7th or later to tie a game or give us a lead this entire year. His OPS in those situations is .836. Miguel Cabrera and David Ortiz both have late/close OPS' of .920 or higher. He's been helpful and he's had a few big hits, but let's not make him out to be Mr. Clutch. He's been f***ing abysmal this year, and being Frazierless in 2018 is something to look forward to. -

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 09:16 PM) Frazier still clutch Frazier, clutch? How many of his bombs are solo shots? This one doesn't mean s***. -

ND for Sale. Don't give a s*** about any of the idiots still on the field. Cya. -

Robertson f***ing sucks. I will not watch next year if that overpaid clown is on this team. -

QUOTE (Insp @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 06:49 PM) Can't believe that I'm starting another game thread half an hour after the game already started...... I made a thread, albeit a smart-ass one. Don't step on my dick. -
11 starts left, thereabouts. Needs six wins. Will feel optimistic if he just needs to win 50% the rest of the way. Get that ERA under 3, too. I suppose nine or so others will join and assist Chris. Don't care.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 06:37 PM) You take Hawk seriously? Because I don't. I suppose you've never heard my rants about baseball commentary before. I forgive you.
-
Terrible play by Tilson.
-
It's cool. Hawk says Tyler's the smartest player on the team. We can love him mindlessly even if he destroys opportunities and can't hit.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 06:21 PM) Saladino or Rollins being on the roster is nowhere near the problem this team has. You suck at comparisons It was a smart-ass remark because of your belief that being on this roster is objective proof of whom is a better baseball player. But hey, don't let that stop you from running with it.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 06:13 PM) Saladino is better then Rollins and that is proven by who is still on the roster Right. Our roster consists of nothing but the best. All the b****ing of the last 24 hours is proof of that.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 06:08 PM) Not sure how many people have to tell you that Saladino is a good utility guy that can start games when someone goes down. He is a type of bench player winning teams have IMO. Nobody is calling him our next starting SS or 2B Except for people at the beginning of the year who hated the Rollins signing right off the bat, and wanted Mr. 633 OPS as our starting SS.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 05:53 PM) Tim should still be in the minor leagues. Dude doesn't have a clue at the plate. But Saladino shouldn't be? This is why I hate on Tyler all the time. This ridiculous, out of proportion love for him. Also, has Tilson fielded any balls in CF? Saw his AB.
-
I really doubt they relocate, but since I've spent five nights total in Chicago since 1998 (I've used those nights efficiently, as I've seen five games at USCF in that time), I'll root for the Las Vegas White Sox every bit as much as the Chicago White Sox.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 12:17 PM) I would walk away very quickly from either of those scenarios. So what would your bare minimum be? Are you not a fan of the Dodgers' prospects?
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 12:09 PM) So what is the bare minimum you would take for each today? I want one of two packages for Sale. Urias, De Leon, Puig, Verdugo and Calhoun OR Urias, Pederson, Verdugo and Calhoun I'm borderline on Calhoun. I was going to post this without including him at all.
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 11:32 AM) We're standing pat guys. Get ready for the the recycled Rick Hahn message. Dude! Don't kill my dreams, man. Why the f*** am I still here? Please just be 3PM already, so I can either go about my life or start hardcore reading statistics for Julio Urias, Andrew Benintendi or Nomar Mazara...

I really wish something came up at work so I was totally slammed and couldn't check back on this for two hours and thirty three minutes. The constant refreshing and "maybe something's happening, maybe something isn't" is killing me. Actually, I have something I could do. Horrifying, but I think I'm just addicted to this s***.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) Melky should bring back something nice. I'm gonna be honest- I like Melky probably more than anyone on the team. I get the point of selling, and I hole we do, but Melky will be a guy I follow and root for no matter where he goes. -
