I'm very sorry, knightni. It might be cliche, but I truly believe that he is in a better place and you will see him again, many years from now. Your family is in my prayers.

Kahnle sucks.

Sale for Mazara, Profar, Ortiz and Tate. Positively do not want Gallo or Brinson.

Yeah, I'm out. Bridge on the River Kwai >>> Chris Sale's Mental Midgetry: An Ongoing Series. Get Urias++ for him and let Dodgers fans debate whether his talent is worth the childishness. -

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:41 PM) He doesn't like Saladino but likes TA. Tim is a top prospect, first round draft pick, three years younger, has a better oWAR and dWAR in less playing time, and a higher OPS in MiLB and MLB. Where's the issue? -

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) Why do we have to give Sanchez a token start? He sucks more than Saladino. -

Thanks, Sanchez. Now Sale leads off the third. Isn't one of the sole positives of your game supposed to be speed? Man, our whole "middle IF prospect depth" of a few years ago really fizzled. -
I cried in the car on the way home today. My wife thinks it's silly that I post here, so I rehearsed in my head how I could convince her that our budgeted amount for offertory should go to you instead. As I told the story, she started sobbing and told me to donate before I even finished. I know it's not much, and I know it will never fix the tragedy of this situation. I only hope it can relieve some of the horribly unnecessary financial stress that might exist right now. We will be thinking of and praying for you and beautiful Josiah often.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:37 PM) Surprise you didn't do it when Saladino was up I'll admit it...despite his OPS being terrible, for some reason, when Tyler's hitting in a big situation, I have enough hope to at least keep me watching. -

Thought the pitcher AB was a safe time to go s***. Told myself I had to be quick so I could see Tim hit. -

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:27 PM) There he is! You should have known that an irrelevant broadcast tangent and a Saladino failure would bring me out of the woodwork. -

I'm so glad I got to hear about the decals on the bottom of our utility infielder's useless bats. -
How long til game 2?

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 24, 2016 -> 10:48 AM) Hahn says Sale trade talks not impacted by incident. Hopes to win championships with him. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/757255971957796865 Meaning we'll win championships with Moncada, Benintendi and Kopech whom he helped us acquire?
-
I get it if you can't, Rabbit, but I am dying to hear more about your "prepare to be surprised at the deadline" tweet.
-
I am not at all knowledgeable about other teams' farm systems. Could someone provide some insight about the Rangers/BoSox/Braves systems and what they might offer for Sale? I'd be interested in top prospects' stats, potential floors/ceilings, ETA, etc...

Frazier is an embarrassing f***. And no, Benetti, Frazier 's not the guy to hit a three run home run, because there are men on and the situation is actually meaningful. The three pitch K was totally predictable.
-
I'm so glad Frazier adjusted his swing with two strikes and didn't K while looking like a total fool.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 02:13 PM) Yeah in his short short career. 30 MLB teams realized Bonifacio sucked, he was never even that good to begin with. Again, I don't know why you are even comparing Saladino and Bonifacio? Because their OPS is similar? Seems like a stretch. No, because people love Saladino but crucify Bonifacio. Seems simple enough.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 01:51 PM) I don't get your comparison with Bonifacio and Saladino. Bonifacio was on the decline and is barely playing in the majors anymore, it wasn't like he sucked with us and we got rid of him and now he is in the majors hitting is career average again. Saladino was a rookie last year and has done pretty well for his scarce playing time. Bonifacio had a .650 OPS as a 29 year old in 2014. His "decline" is better than Tyler's career. Then he came to us and had 78 crappy at bats. He's had 36 crappie at bats as a Brave. 109 crummy ABs after some pretty good years. If Tyler, who was not a top prospect and didn't even have great MiLB numbers, gets the small sample size excuse after 350 ABs, then I think EB deserved it after 109 bad ABs.
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) Don't bother with him. His anti-Saladino, negative agenda knows no bounds .633 career OPS. I know, I know, small sample size. Not that Emilio Bonifacio ever got that excuse.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) Might want to look at the box score before you post mate. I knew the score. Most of my excitement these days comes from watching Tim Anderson hit and pondering in which inning he will hit next. I have no interest in watching Shuck, Navarro, and Saladino hit, and little interest in everyone else other than Cabrera and Morneau.
-
Thought this was at 3:40 CT. No Anderson, plus Gonzalez pitching, plus Saladino playing, I wonder how long I'll find this interesting.
-
I might have worded it poorly, but we're just not going to agree on this. If a guy is playing horribly and killing his team, I don't appreciate seeing him ham it up at a pointless exhibition during a potential break.
