you can do it at covers dot come political board but it gets pretty absurd really fast. There truly isn't a classy place to talk politics since the buster has gone. I don't even see many of the older posters that used that form exclusively anymore. Sad times.

I might be a colossal cheapskate, but I never buy concessions at ball games because of the prices! Same with the movie theater. I know that's a part of the experience but maybe people are rolling the dough better than me?

Maybe, maybe not. I never claimed to be saying innovative shit but sometimes people need to be reminded that the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different result.

I'm not ageist by any means but it becomes increasingly frustrated when you're told by your parents, I had bought my own home by this age and had X amount of kids at this age. Failing to realize that things are absolutely not the same as it use to be. I think being intentionally obtuse about the issues that plague the world today, along with enormous pride/ego are what's causing people to feel a certain way about older leaders. They never fucking listen!

This is the major problem with this country. Too many boomers thinking the old ways still work when it's time to move forward. Hell! Let's say the world! Look at Putin... old cold war brain doing a stupid war that very few in his country support...

I really hope this is a joke...

Doesn't anyone have a TL;DR version of the events? From what I've heard, Russia is just annexing more Russian friendly regions like they did in Crimea in 2014?

Thanks for sharing the context lmao

Need some legal advice from the employment law experts. I was on a contract assignment for a year with an agency. At the end of the year, the client decided not to renew my contract for budgetary reasons but recommended me for a new position in a different group in the same company. Since my contract was ending, I decided to pursue a new agency. After doing some initial research, I learned my previous agency would have to release me in order to pursue a new agency. I tried to reconcile with my agency to negotiate new terms for the new contract but in the end, it didn't work out. They held me hostage by not releasing me after numerous requests and it was only granted when the last day of my contract which was my last day of employment with the agency. Since they did this, my onboarding process for my new agency was delayed, and I missed two weeks of work as a result. I hired a lawyer and she was forthcoming that they did indeed break the terms of "at-will employment" they have no incentive to make me whole. She doesn't do the lawsuits and she said the amount of money owed isn't really worth pursuing in court. My question is, what can I do to return the damages? I want to file multiple grievances with multiple regulatory bodies but I would like to know which would be the most impactful to their business (temp agency)? Also if anyone has any additional legal ideas, I would be willing to hear them as well. Thank you in advance.

I don't know if that was a bad pitch to Bellinger, elevated 96+ MPH fastball out of the zone? Dude just reacted and crushed it.

Is that due to age... or?
