  1. Farnsworth served up a homerun to TAGUCHI; a HR power threat who just hit his 2nd of the season. Tie f***ing game.
  2. Teams across the league should take notice of this game and use Zambrano's anger to their advantage. Trot slowly around the bases, stare at homeruns, pump fists after a strikeout; anything to phase Carlos. When his adrenaline is pumping, he's liable to lay a fat pitch down the middle.
  3. You'd seriously consider DH'ing Harris? Once Sox begin to face RH'ing pitching again, Harris will find himself at 2B; where he should be. His value is derived from speed/range in the infield, something which is wasted if he DH's. Uribes recent struggles only help Harris' likelihood of reemerging at 2B. Acquiring Jurassic would really prevent a merry-go-round of players switching between OF positions and DH. Hopefully, if traded for, Carl would approve becoming a full time DH. His switch hitting bat prevents the need of tinkering, while Sox won't become jeopardized with his subpar defense.
  4. What the hell has overtaken Johan Santana these last few months? Today, he threw a 1 hitter though 8 innings with 9 strikeouts. Best pitcher in the division; by far.

You may have something here. Rereading the orginal article (which I browsed through initially) this information stood out. Will this be the one moment future generations look back on and pinpoint where it all went wrong? Shouldn't there be some Terminator cyborg from the future looking to destroy Hawkins about now? Let me reflect back on Back To The Future, Butterfly Effect, and Simpsons Tree House of Horrors. Isn't it potentially dangerous to tamper with the space time continuim? How, and why would mankind want to "be sure of the past" or "predict the future?" Hawkins would probably f*** something up anyways. His wheelchair will roll over a bug that was intended to bite the future president of the United States, which would have transmitted malaria and canceled plans of attending a nuclear summit in Russia. Instead, the bug is dead, future president attends summit, and the world begins a Nuclear Holocaust!

I'll add onto your question, because I'm interested in the purpose of answering this paradox of physics. How can anyone prove his theory correct, or at that, how in the HELL does he originate a formula to figure out whether anything can escape a Black Hole? Speed of Light is known, but beyond that how can Hawkins speculate whether a Black Hole deterioates. Its not as if a small-scale model is in a scientific laboratory, awaiting examination. Maybe my feeble brain has yet to understand the implications such a discovery provides.
  7. The excuses have begun from Hawk. "This baseball....is round TIGHTLY." "I'll tell you what, this park is a bandbox."
  8. Looking like one of those nights. 3-0 A's. Buehrle serves up jack to Dye.
  9. Quick first inning for Zito: Uribe - fouls out Rowand - grounds out Ordonez - fouls out. WHarris, I share your sentiment. White Sox always put scuffling pitchers back on track.
  10. X-Rays and MRI's conclusively stated there was no ligament damage. A bone scan is the examination to look out for.
  11. Following phrases are favorites of those you described: -The baseball season is a marathon, not a sprint. -Pennants aren't won in (any month prior to September) -White Sox are traditionally a strong second half team -Twins have a brutal September schedule -Sox have yet to hit their stride
  12. Immediately after Lee's homerun, the conversation abruptly turned from whining about the Cubs injury woes to complimenting the offense. Makes sense to me; ignore the problems unless your team is behind. Chimp/Steve's comments following tonights game: Cubs lose, Prior's reaggrivation of his achilles (and subsequent departure) provided a huge, pyschological burden for the team. One which was too great to overcome. Cubs win, the team shows tremendous courage battling back while their best pitchers health is in doubt. :fthecubs
  13. I feel the same way. Esteban doesn't belong in Houston. Hope he can hold down the powerful NL lineup for his inning (or two).
  14. Cycle is complete: Single: Jeter Double: Ichiro Suzuki Triple: Ivan Rodriguez Home Run: Manny Ramirez EDIT: Clemens is done.
  15. Sosa greedily attempted to throw out Ichiro while ignoring I-Rod. This All-Star game has started off great.
  16. Of course. Fox wouldn't miss this opportunity to draw huge amounts of money from advertisers.
  17. For anyone who missed the national anthem; be thanful. f***ING ATROCIOUS. FOX sure loves promoting their own products.
  18. Wait, is the crowd BOOING opposing players? Did I not hear Astro fans give it to Jimmy Williams, Moises Alou, Carlos Zambrano? /patiently awaits Chris Bermans response.
  19. He did make it interesting though. Took nearly 28 seconds to throw 5 baseballs in a HUGE circle sitting at home plate. It was rather simple for that much money. Several years ago, at an NBA All-Star game (location/year escapes me) they gave a guy ONE chance to bank a half-court shot for a million. Tonight, this guy had it rather simple.
  20. It'll be about 30 minutes before a pitch is even made. -Last minute hype (this instance relating to Roger Clemens/Mike Piazza.) -Some s***ty band will sing a song -Introductions -National Anthem/Flyover Same ol' s***.
  21. Possibly. Now explain how the White Sox would be in selling mode if they acquired Nomar.
  22. If that terrible trade would ever happen, Jose would likely DH. Moronic to remove your only power LH from the lineup. Back to reality.... 1. Valentin's defense is greater than a healthy Garciaparra. Garciaparra isn't healthy, so there's no comparison to make. 2. As Cheat has indicated, Nomars road avg. suggests he thrives off Bostons Green Monster; as many RH's do. Furthermore, Why would the Sox trade for a SS when holes remain unfilled in the rotation/bullpen? Why would the Sox even factor Boston into this decision? f*** them, go for Johnson and let them rot with Ramon.
  23. Dasox, you listed several of my favorite Nickolodeon shows: Doug, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Legends of the Lost Temple. I'll add: Adventures of Pete and Pete Land of the Lost Transformers Dinosaurs Monsters WWF Superstars Friday the 13th: The Series Rockos Modern Life Eek The Cat Bobby's World Night Rider A- Team
  24. Most? Was "most" of the thread within the first 20 pages, before JimH meticulously explained his reasons for exposing Ncorg. If you fail to comprehend (or understand) his motives, then why continue to post in this thread? Why must those who are interested in Ncorgls demise read through page after page of members pondering "why are we interested."
