  1. Alou must be destroyed. 3 Run Jack with one out. Dumbs***s (Cardinals in this instance) should have known to continually pitch Alou inside if he's barely fouling them off. 7-6 Cardinals.
  2. Its warm (moderately)........winds blowing out of Wrigley........and Antonio Banderas is pitching for the Cubs. Cardinals WILL score runs.
  3. Game Over. Action Jackson works a 1-2-3 9th. Sox win 10-3. :fthecubs
  4. 9-3 Sox on a Konerko bomb. Looks like the air conditioning didn't keep that ball down
  5. I turned away from the TV and heard Rooney (on the radio) say something to the effect he side armed the pitch. Imagine if he added the deception to his repetoire
  6. Ugly game for both sides. Take advantage of this error Uribe.
  7. Konerko has played a total of 50 games starting at 3B. Most recent were 7 in 2000, and 1 in 1999.
  8. With interplay beginning next month, Frank will eventually be eased into the role of 1B anyways. Paulie at 3B won't work. Just ask A-rod how difficult it is to switch a position you've never played in your life; paulie wouldn't last.
  9. With the game of baseball as it is, Crede will either go 0-4 tonight or 4-4 and win us the game. Two ends of the spectrum exist, no in between.
  10. This is beyond belief. How many times has some dumb s*** done by the Sox led to a run?
  11. Minnesota ALWAYS capitalizes on these mistakes. Lecroy singles, 2 men on, 2 out.
  12. Get a new glove Joe. Third time this s*** has happened....
  13. Rack that s*** up. Nice double play turned by Este, Valentin.
  14. Esteban has already been squeezed, this is such bulls***. Should of K'd Ford, but instead the leadoff man is aboard.
  15. Beastly, beastly, beastly....... :headshake We're not exactly deep in pitching (whether its our Starting Rotation or Minor League affiliates) What? There's no question he's hurt. Tests have shown tears in both his elbow and shoulder. Evidence?! Have you read this thread? Let me post this link: http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug20.html We've all been aware of Danny's struggles, but isn't it obvious to you that perhaps his injuries have held him back from his full potential?
  16. Yesterday was quite a game for Esteban. Lets make it two in a row against the Twins.
  17. Nothing would thrill me more then to see Prior get ROCKED, followed by the Chicago media having to reassure neurotic Cub fans the Messiah is still on track.
  18. I belive I read in the Sun-Times awhile back the charges were dropped.
  19. Good s***, but it still doesn't answer the question of whether Nascar is a sport (or not).
  20. Who eats Cracker Jacks at baseball games? Hell, who eats Cracker Jacks anywhere? Lemme tell you somethin'.....Yankees are lying when they say Crunch N Munch was made the substitute because it "taste better." They are merely trying to save some money by going for the cheap substitute. Sure this is different then the Spiderman debacle (or selling the naming rights to a stadium), but generally baseball fans are against any change which alienates long standing traditions. Just look for Cracker Jacks return to Yankee Stadium within the next several weeks.
  21. Damn. So when KW told Sox fans during a WGN telecast, "Danny Wrights drop in velocity was for more control of his pitches," it was complete bulls***. Not insinuating that Williams knew of the injury, but maybe these MRI's should of been ordered following his 2003 failures.
  22. If this lineup does well tonight (scoring 5+ runs, solid defense) then this should be the same group of players starting the opener in Minnesota. If there has been ONE glaring negative in Ozzie's short career as manager, its been his inability to field a consistent lineup. If Uribe continues to stay hot and Willie continues to act the role of leadoff hitter, Ozz should find spots for these players. Even though CF doesn't suite Gload, if he excells tonight, his ass better be there in Minnesota.
  23. Wunsch has pitched well against LH/RH, but his role in the past has been more of a left handed specialist. Not to say he'll have problems going beyond one inning, but keep in mind the bullpen must be kept fresh for the three games preceeding Cotts' start. Hopefully Ozzie won't leave any starters out longer then necessary in order to save the bullpen (in the event Neal doesn't fare well in Game 4). Though I fear he will anyways. Then again, unless our starters are planning on eating up innings the Minnesota series will probably become a heftly load for the bullpen. Why must this problem exist?
  24. YESSSSSSS!!!!!!! THERES 2 IN A ROW, ONE MORE! ONE MORE OUT AND BILLY WILL RECORD HIS FIRST 1-2-3 INNING IN GOD KNOWS HOW LONG!!!!! I'M SO GLAD I'M ALIVE TO WITNESS THIS EVENT!!!!!!
